That is what happens when a coach will not allow competition in the camp.

- They only did well against South Africa,
though they made some mistakes. South Africa
had the opportunity to execute one-on-one
moves and score goals but Vincent Enyeama
saved us.

Mr. Taribo west It was ejide in goal post against south africa not enyeama

Criticizing this young guys is not the way forward, atleast before Taribo West will make a comment like this one, I expected him to have scouted better players in those position to back up his amateurish opinion. #1NIGERIA smiley

Kettle calling pot black!

I just finished watching the highlight of the 2nd round match between Nigeria and Denmark at Fifa World Cup (France 98).

Mr Taribo West, it seems you have forgotten how Sand take ball skin that pair of dada wey dey the center of your gorimapa head abi? grin

The pair won the Nations Cup and were so solid. Obabona presence was felt at the world cup because his replacement was the Clueless Captain named yOBO
shutup! that was when he was already fading, taribo was one time among the top 5 central defenders in the world. i guess u were still a toddler then so u wouldn't know.

Very true how can Omeruo who have not played a single match for chelsea appeared 21 times in super eagles and a first eleven for that matter. The same thing is applicable to Oboabonna and Keshi their unreasonable coach.

Taribo is right

I think he plays for middlebrough not Chelsea

What was he when he was playing that he will call others amateur, instead of encouraging them to improve

I dont know ur age and whether you watched Taribo play. That guy was a rock of Gibraltar in the defence line. He was strong rugged skilled and had a heart of a lion. Their set was the last super eagles team we ever had. Remember they almost embarrassed the Argies in 1994 WC until FIFA referee allowed them a last minute penalty. They did not struggle with Sudan or lose to Congo. Those guys could easily have brought the cup back if not for world politics in football coupled with inexperience at that stage. I still respect them.

Baba Taribo might be right as one speaking from experience. But each time I see Oboabona and Omerou doing it for Nigeria am always happy. They need to be encouraged. With time their Amateurish will dispersed away.

Only in Nigeria football,so called 'legends' discourages the upcoming ones,,
Its only in Nigeria when someone is saying the truth they see it as "discouraging" I only blame keshi for using the super eagles as a ground for rehabilitating players. Which we all know cost him his job!!!

Your choice of word tells your age bracket

You've just forgotten so quick, I was your school father in St Gregory's College in 1998. I'm sure you remember me now, so apologize before I beat you again with the Cricket Stumps.

I quite agree wt taribo on dis,dos guys performances recently av bn far for impressive, they nid to sit up,ando how do we make dem situp?d ansa is not farfetched!competition is all dey need,I tink dos guys re too relaxed,so we need more guys in dat defence to make dem do the needful

My only Fear is that both our central Defenders are short. A striker whose very good in the air will sure cause the eagles much trouble. As a coach, I would have played omeuro @ 2 while, efe pairs with obabona. That defence also need a standing water carrier @ 4.
