My Dad said something to me that still ring in my head like a bell of times.

Each time I remember this advice it reminds me of our unpredictable world ,where with one quick turn of event you are into a situation where getting out might become your worst nightmare and all the promises you have before you becomes an absolute waste of space as if no dream existed at all in the first place.

my Dad said to me that '' I have given you all that I can to the best of my ability ,it might not be perfect neither the best of it all But if in the future you cannot solidify with these opportunities and excel ,but indulge yourself in any illegal thing that will hurt you in any way - I have no tears to shed for you.''

My Dad continuously said this to me until few years when he stopped.

I want us to share experiences on how parental choice of words and application can make a child sit up instead of the normal shouting or cold war that exists between parents and a teenager.

Thanks jare.Truth is,i should have kept that child.That child would have been the basis of my determination and success.And to think i have spent years painting the pics of how handsome he wud have been was indeed tormentin.Abeg that mistake pain me o.hmm!Now am crying.lol.

Not really close to mine, can't sit in the same room with mine for long. Calls are always under 1min tops & usually one sided. Very formal relationship but then my mum is a whole new ball game all together. Can tell her almost anything. For her it was
