Boss, I'm a town planner, under Planning law we use population (first before other factors like basic amenities) to determine the rural n urban Centre
need I say that a settlement without amenities would suffer rural-urban migration thereby reducing its population as people would seek for greener pastures outside d enclave?

oga mi,wen light, water, security, job no dey,u go run comot go find better place.....Epe population tiny and is only usually full during ileya celebration being a Muslim community..

Take a trip to Epe and you'll be amazed....

well with this your definition, then Ikeja is also a village, we don't have water,we hardly have 12hrs of electricity esp at night, you need to see bad roads in oluwole estate road (retail mkt) wemco road etc, security ish nko, make I no go there (we provide basic amenities by ourselves)

eehen....i was about chipping in that all the factors I listed as affecting Epe as a case study of rural areas including the rural-urban migration aspect must be in place to qualify a settlement as a village not just d lack of an amenity or the other alone

check the definition of village before commenting

That was rude! A village can be a rural area with elements of urbanisation!! Hence a suburb.. its nt necessarily ur no good roads, water and power or lack of that you were taught in creche... am a Builder by profession. Please next time you disagree with some1 ask ist before you belittle the person such a person mite have reasons to backup his claim..
