passwelle: I had to watch a few minutes of WWE raw (not sure if I got that right) with my nephew and I remember the wrestlers warn that no one should try their stunts at home....blah blah blah. At this juncture, I would implore my bnsitl not to attempt the stunts PW is performing. He is obviously a notorious JIJO investor. Sharing monkeys like no man's business. . He get some stunts wey you go do wey be say na good samaritan go come straighten you after you don hook/rack finish. He has the time, platform and money.[i] No be say, na phone you go dey use call person or ask for price for floor and you go wan follow do JIJO. 4 Likes |

PW has the time, the itrade platform and like everyone else here a thirst for more money. Most importantly, he is a strong believer in the Greater Fool Theory Emulate him at your own gain or loss. Watch out! 4 Likes 2 Shares |

hotcake:JIJO has its disadvantages, it doesn't let your profits run! Where many here exited Ikeja with >100%, I ran after 3 days. It is also risky as you need to predict short term market psychology almost accurately. If its an informed jump (dd=price, volume history, sector sentiment, etc) then you can get away with it most times. Take Courtville yesterday for example. It has a low OS, its 52 week high is 89 kobo, with low being 50 kobo. In the last month it has traded at 51 kobo only on 2 days, with typical trades at 52 or 53 kobo in the 30 day period. Then it declares an unaudited EPS of 10 kobo for Q3 which was 39% better than last year, and the morning after it is offered at 51 kobo . The question there is when the retracement will happen, not if, as the upsides are plenty. But, you can not time the market, you will be lucky if it happens over the next few days. Luckier if it happens same day for volatile stocks, and luckiest if the company has market makers. They may collect it back from you at 2.28 pm irrespective of when you bought it that day. 4 Likes |

Hehehe... Market making is a very HARD business area apparently. Remember what was going down at Access and Wapic 3 months ago (those volume correlations), see all the trouble the market is causing for Access Bank's market makers and AIG proxies... Contrast this with the diligent Forte Oil market makers who keep over-delivering on their KPIs. Coming into the market at 1427 -1429 hours and still over-delivering. In the end you see that on the NSE, fundamentals count for less when it comes to the business of determining the price behavior of a financial asset. You'd win more if you combined say 15% fundamental analysis, 35% technical analysis and 50% smart statistics (like PW) than good-ol' fundamental analysis, 99% purity. I'm just being honest. 4 Likes |

@hotcakes: Perhaps it's only an envious or insecure fellow who will not admire PW and Dexter. They deluge us with ALL we need to know...I really like this...but some people don't! (RE: Those baba isale that Dexter has been kowtowing to) @kotlass : I was wondering how you knew passwelle was becoming a clown...until I read your last post. @Dexterax: Your allocation of percentages to keys for success on the NSE buttresses what Oga Aks has been preaching for decades: that fundamentals isn't weighty enough on the NSE. But you left out a vital point - TIME. passwelle has got ample time for JIJO... Many people too on this forum will probably earn more from the NSE if their day-job permits them. 4 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Dexterax(m): 10:40am On Oct 24, 2014 |
@Moneysage I agree. Another way to think about JIJO too is based on time-frames. Those aware of the MT4 platform for currency trading know that 4-hour and daily time-frames are well exploited by day-traders; these time-frames still fall under the JIJO class, only that some interesting transactions would hold for overnight holding periods. PW could actually exploit these bigger time-frames based on the statistical betting patterns of market makers who work over-time to maintain assets within bands (think about what the CBN does with the naira... ) 1 Like |

The cover page of the Africa Prudential Registrars' Rights' Issue circular has transaction dates that coincide with the release of its 9 months results. It is logical to conclude that 1bn shares were used in calculating the 9 months results for 2013. 1 Like |
