Eke and other veterans, Can you please help me break down these requirements http://www.en.geologie.geowissenschaften.uni-muenchen.de/academics/degree_programs/master/applications.html 1. On the issue of the transcripts, how do I get those to them....they want it emailed 2. Is it really necessary to take ILETS? 3. Where can I take the general GRE Test? |

nicholls2013:You will find many if you DILIGENTLY search for it using the tool on DAAD.....like my school or will I say my department only accepted email applications with scan copies of my original but I searched.... hollaytan:Hello! I didn't respond to you question earlier because you have not done the needful as advised..... I said read at least from 100 pages back because one question will lead to another if you don't and those questions have been generously answered..If you just checked a page before this, you could have gotten your answers. Google " daad international students and use the tool there and research, you will see 100s. DAAD is your friend. Diligently use it...note that even in the same school, different department may require different things so you need to check and see for yourself. Check my post in page (439) for more details. |

Veryplain: Honourablesheyi and ebele17 should be your right sources of info...you can PM them. Have you tried A level Exams? You can make enquiries and explore those alternatives.. House, please forgive me, I promise I was going to make my research and check for more schools that accepts O'level and OND....and I have not done that...I have been busy, only using spare time to respond to questions here. As gadafitruth pointed out rightly, the one I know of is in the east...I have not gotten more though. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello people. I attended my visa interview on September23 and the enrollment extension deadline given to me by the sch I gained admission was October15. Few days after the deadline had passed I sent a mail to the embassy requesting to know the status of my application. They replied that they are yet to receive a response from the alien authority at my proposed place of residence in Germany. I sent a mail to the sch explaining why I cldnt make it to Germany b4 the deadline date. I also sent them a copy of the mail I received from the embassy and I asked for further extension. They have not replied my mail till date and jst last nite, I got a mail from the embassy asking me to come with my passport and the printout of the mail I received. There was nothing like health insurance among the requirements. Please what does this mean? will I be issued my student visa or am I being denied the visa? |

Donxavier: Bros Eke, I have read the last 100 pages but I still have questions, especially how I intend to approach this application. |

hilarybanks: Oga, its very compulsory for you to go with 3months travel insurance. Also, you might be asked to tender an email from your school confirming the extension of your registration. My candid advise for you is to mail/call your school to send an email. tell them you've been asked to come for your visa, and you will be needing an email which clearly states an extension for at least one week. cos the embassy will surely ask for it knowing fully well that your admission might have elapsed. Others can also contribute.. Meine zwei loffel ! Gemeinsam sind wir stark ! 1 Like |

Re: German Embassy And Visa by esdajo: 4:56pm On Oct 24, 2014 |
dolpaz: Yes you are right. Don't go without an email from your school extending the deadline for your enrollment as that will be a genuine reason for denying you the visa. You should call and email your school as advised and go with the printout of the email from the school showing the header of the message (your school's email and yours) so it will look genuine and not fabricated. If you go without it, you can be very sure that you will be denied unless you have already included the health insurance in your visa application initially (maybe that was why you were not requested to come along with another health or travel health insurance) but even at that, its better to err on the side of surplusage than be taken unawares. So play the delay game until you get something good enough from your host institution before going to the Embassy as any mistake in the timing either by unnecessary delay or being too much in a haste in contacting them without the needed arsenal (letter from the school) could be fatal to your case. This is just my own opinion. 3 Likes |

Re: German Embassy And Visa by Eke40seven(m): 5:00pm On Oct 24, 2014 |
hilarybanks:Call your school ASAP.....that is what you should have done when they didn't reply....still call them though on Monday to reply your mail...you can can then take along their reply with you to the embassy.... I'm afraid there might really be a serious issue....let's pray for the best but its looking like the mechanics/methods of giving a rejection...but I think if you can get the reply from the school quickly and if its not another problem you are called for, you may still rescue the situation. God is your strength brother. p.s. just saw the reply esdajo gave above...perfectly written, so, its time to take action. |

kunlelikeme:Your question is timely thanks ..I have sent him the old one I submitted to the embassy....it should get to him tomorrow or Monday by God's grace...since he was not too keen on getting the new one..His grouse could be due to the fact that he thought I will be staying with him as initially planned but I couldn't work that out as the school I got admission in is far.. I even need friends around Duisburg to pay him a courtesy visit on my behalf...and that could be mutually beneficial...he imports lots of cars and other stuffs from Germany into Nigeria, he could open up the visitors' eye on ways to go about it, especially if they stay around that region. That's still in the pipeline though...as it stands, na God eye I dey look. |

Donxavier: Sorry for responding late seemingly.... I answered this question earlier on my phone but I didn't know that it didn't upload or I don't really understand what happened really....chai!!!! Firstly, from what they have there, everything will be submitted as a single PDF document and sent by email and also through physical mail. 1. Don't you have your transcript with you?..you need to get it and scan 2. Your English taught programme covers you..You don't need IELTS or TOEFL as long as you can prove that your course is entirely taught in English. 3. Google is your friend...or you can check tutorial centres that specialises on A level exams....but from what I can see on their site GRE was just recommended and not really a prerequisite or a really compulsory part of the application. Hope you find it useful. God bless you |

Re: German Embassy And Visa by Nobody: 8:54pm On Oct 24, 2014 |
Eke40seven: Halleluyah, I thought it was a deliberate snub 1. I have the transcripts, but it was addressed to an educational service I used for my UK admission processes. From what I heard, the transcripts ought to be sent from one's school directly to the institution....but am somewhat confused cos reading back it seemed people scanned certified copies of there transcripts. Isn't it somehow, seeing that the transcripts normally shouldn't be seen by the applicant? or do German schools not mind? 2. Please how does one proof the courses were entirely taught in English? 3. Thanks, I thought that too but when I saw applicants with GRE got faster processing, that was what took my mind there. It's a 50/50 am not really sure whether to do or not as long as I get the admission letter. From what I studied on the link, admission processes start by Mid November, for non eu we are advised to finish by Jan 31st, even though officially admission closes by May 31st. They said after acceptance , it may take 2 full months or more to issue the admission letters if accepted. what are the usual timelines for these kind of things as per other people's experiences? |
Re: German Embassy And Visa by ohimai83: 9:17pm On Oct 24, 2014 |
hilarybanks:There was nothing like health insurance in my mail either and I was given my 3 months visa. The big issue is for you to get the letter (e-mail) of confirmation from your school that you will still be accepted. Again I got my visa without travel insurance. |

Hallo house, am kinda confused I want to apply for master's degree in three universities in germany via uni-assist. Am about to collect my transcript and letter of proficiency in English language from my university but they re asking for the address of the university I wish to do my Masters in so that they can address the documents to the university. The issue is, should I give them the address of the three universities which means collecting three transcript or should I give them uni-assist address ? |
