Though, this list should be relative to different individuals, but i must say dat, BIOCHEMISTRY and MED. RADIOGRAPHY should be in that list... They're much better, more versatile (biochemistry especially) and more lucrative than most courses yhu listed there. |

I definitely agree with@eleojo23. Lucrativeness of a course depends on the individual that studied the course. A good example is myself. I read marketing and today I own a very big internet marketing firm. I invested my whole life and energy while I laboured on correct knowledge. I currently employ a medical doctor who work in my media clinic. This kind of ranking may pose a panic to your growing youths. I thinks career development is well paced when its driven by passion rather than insatiable love for materialism. That's my submission 1 Like 2 Shares |

EDUCATION might not be lucrative or marketable in Nigerian context yet everybody relies on teachers to shapen the Nigerian child. The last time i checked all these so called 'marketable courses' fall back to teaching to earn stipends when they can't get employment. I represent Education. Am a BIG TEACHER. 3 Likes 1 Share |

moscobabs:I think all humans have brain and the author of this quote is above primary class and so, he could make use of the Dictionary if English is his problem before puffing up his nuisance. I prefer to use "caution" but the mods. changed it to "caveat" through requote. and it was clearly written, this is not based on hard data, (signifying warning) and your choice is much preferred. so who should be blamed for your impediment to assimilate quotes for perception? if you don't have anything to contribute why not pass without commenting |

dellyjoe1000: Guess what? IMF president studied Medicine for First Degree. What's a medical graduate doing in a financial institution, right? First degree is just to broaden your horizon. It is hardly the skills you learnt in school that you need to do the job - except for very few specialist courses like Medicine, Architecture, etc. 4 weeks in training school is enough for a Yoruba graduate to learn rudiments of banking. He will learn the remaining on the job. And was he given Bank Manager straight from entry level? He must have done banking job for at least 5 years and outperformed the colleague that studied Banking before he could become a Manager. In any case, if a Yoruba grad passed bank test, and a Banking grad did not, his banking degree will not help him. I don't have any problem with any course graduate working in bank, I will only have problem with a non-Medical graduate working as a doctor. 8 Likes |

cherryice:Yes he made be studying people's behavior, but it's not the same with those that studied it especially the real psychologist. Psychology has different areas that many Nigerians aren't aware. As a psychologist, your services are needed in hospitals, schools, police force, army, navy, education e.tc it's because the Nigeria labour market has excess supply over demand due to few industries That's why most firm employ anyone they like. Check those firms that employ any graduate from any discipline how much they pay their workers compared to professionals in that field. You will discover that the salaries are peanuts 1 Like |

3coins:Lol..Why? Agreeably, the demand for the profession is fast outstripping the demand. But nevertheless, the services of lawyers will always be sought after. In spite of the legal placidity of most Nigerians, law will always flourish. Remember it's a profession and it has an already carved-out niche with no other profession or area of discipline can fit into. |
