Please fellow nairalanders, having work for someone for 2years now, i have only be able to save 150,000 Naira from the job, although the job has been able to feed me and pay my bills because am not a flamboyant spender.
But i discovered that the stress of the job does not correlate with the pay,
So am deciding it will be better to start something by my self as am already tired of the job of its time-consuming nature.
Please i need ur assistance on what i can start profitably with 150,000 even if the profit is not much, because i know it will gradually get better,
thanks for ur response

Hi @tos4u.

Starting a business in Nigeria may look easy, however keeping it going strong is the bone of contention with varying business risks. Do note this: your first investment in any business will most likely go down the drain. Yes, down the drain (its like a seed you plant and expecting future harvest). If you fear this, then continue with your job with diligence while you invest in someone's business that has integrity.

This is our candid advice:

You must first understand yourself: are you a risk-taker or you are neutral? You must be ready to lose your first seed fund if you are truly risk-taker to start all over again. Either way, split your capital into say 2 and invest a part in that business that you naturally find interesting and you are passionate about (so when the cash isn't flowing, passion can keep you going). Ask yourself, what business do you believe you can do better than those already doing it? The best bet is to start from within your neighbourhood and scan the 'need' people are yearning for (it could be speed of service, it could be reduced price of some goods, it could be exceptional customer service, it could be quality of product), make sure its within your budget.

Nigeria is a great country, a great nation, with different challenges and problems, but buried inside these challenges and problems are POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES. Its for you to pick the problem within your reach, start first and learn the ropes over time. You will make mistakes, but make them FAST and learn from them FAST. At that stage, you may then require the 2ND PORTION of your capital to support the business/ pull you through the difficulties.

Remember to read, learn, read and continue to read about the business, be accountable to the business (if you can't get an accountant) and have a road map (a business plan) to serve as compass for you.

Come to www.angelstartups.com.ng, sign up as an investor and learn how to go about that business that you are passionate about.

You will succeed.

Let me give you this advice for free. As an agric grad, i would advice you to go into buying and selling of agricommodities. Look for rural areas where an agricommodity of your interest is cheap, sell it to retailers in a place it is expensive. I assure insha Allah, if you put as much zeal in this business as a bank marketers put in his work, you would be a millionare within a year.

Don‘t leave you work yet, take 6 months to design your plan and strategies. Remember if you rush in, you will rush out.

If you send me an mp, you would pay consultansy fee. Na money i take study agric. People fail in agribusiness because they consult quacks for advise, if they had met those who studied it in uni for 5years, they would have mitigated the challenges.

NOTICE! NOTICE!! NOTICE!!!

MAKE YOUR PATH STRAIGHT TO GREAT WEALTH.

GET 8% OF WHATEVER YOU INVESTED EVERY 30 DAYS,FOR AS LONG AS YOUR INVESTED FUND STILL REMAINS WITH THE COMPANY.

FOR THOSE THAT NEEDS LOANS RANGING FROM 20k to 100k, CAN ALSO OBTAIN LOANS WITHOUT COLLATERA,BUT IT INVOLVES SOME CERTAIN PROCESS A REPUTABLE REFFEREE AND SIGNED AGREEMENTS.

Why look for high profit internet investments, that will pay only but a few people just for a while, before they will disappear with your money without any trace,it had always happened that way.

INVEST WHERE you can Get 8% in 30 days of what ever you have invested, paid directly into your account,no stories and absolutely risk free.ONLY FEW PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF IT........this is not an internet transaction,it is a company with physical addresses,u will be requested to sign some legal documents and agreements with the institution on the payment arrangement.what is required of u is 2-PASSPORTS PHOTOGRAPH,A VALID I.D CARD and you must have,an account number with one of the listed banks,UBA,GTB,FIRST BANK,FIDELITY BANK AND ZENITH BANK.the minimum amount for investment is 50 THOUSAND and a maximum of 10 MILLION NAIRA.You will get your first payment 37 days after investment date,as 7 days is required for your money to be invested into the economy, while subsiquent payments will be within 30days interval.

You can still collect you invested fund if you wish, but you investment must have run for a minimum of 6months with the company, and you will give a 2 months notice in writing to the company before collection of invested fund.

The company also hosts an annual general meeting every 1st week of november where some certain issues are discussed.

To be honest with you,I get paid 0.6% monthly of what ever investment I attract for the company, for as long as the invested fund still runs with the company.

PLS the listed banks are the only banks from which u can get your money paid directly into an account, those are the banks we partner with. The company have had a steadily good reputation for over a period of 4years and 7months,with a plan of going international by 2017.TELL OTHERS AROUND YOU,NOW THAT THERE IS STILL SPACE FOR EVERYONE,BEFORE IT BECOMES A THING FOR ONLY THE RICH.

YOUR MONEY IS 100% Secured and YOUR monthly returns are also 100% sure,no delays,no stories of losses.

Many of our clients who started with just 50k for fear of losses, came back some months later to invest even more.

yes you don't have to rent a shop. All you need is an open space where educated people reside beg or pay a token to the owner of the plot of land, buy your cylinder and rifiled it in the filling station
NB
you will have to go for a training for at least one month for you to know the details of the buz
