First of all, before people start attacking me, I am a christian and I'm not here to discriminate anybody. For a long time now I hardly sleep at night because of one prayer or the other from the different churches in my neighbourhood. Yes, there are about 11 churches in my street alone. .

Anyway, there is this particular church that normally have program every night (seriously every night) and they have this really loud microphone. My sleep is so much dosturbed that I hardly get 2 hours of sleep because of their noise,. U can imagine when u are trying to sleep and what u keep hearing is DIE DIE DEI DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE from ur sleep. Its like everything about that church is DIE DIE DIE. Tell me how can someone sleep. I have thought about making a complaint to the community or local govt, but I'm afraid they might call me a sadist. But truth be told, this shouldn't be happening in a residential area. I thought we are battling a spiritual battle, so why can't they pray silently, or shout they want without using microphone (I'm sure everyone inside the church will hear even if they don't use microphone). Most of the people in that church don't have a work they are going in the morning so why disturb those that have work?

Everyone has a freedom of religion, be it christian, Islam, traditional or even occult. So my question is this, let's say I am a traditionist, and every night me and my occult crew do our things and make noise every night with loud microphone worshipping our idols doing ERIWO YAAAA. AYA GBO, AYA TO, every night... What will people say? I'm sure they would call the police to get me arrested. The irony here is white men brought religion into this country, but in their country u will never find churches disturbing the peace of neighbours in the night. So how come na we come carry am for head.? If u try this in the UK or the U.S. the neighbours would call the police and the church will be shut down if they don't take to correction.

So I am calling the religion experts. What do u think about this. Should I keep suffering and get woken up every night by sound of DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE, or what advice would u give me? Is it right for churches to disturb the peace of a neighbouhood? If that was a shrine what would u guys say?

It's so, so, alarming! I hate public disturbance though........... Churches like that should put in mind that God hates those who doesn't put others into consideration

For the Christians, they are en joined in the Bible to obey constituted authority. Abi, they have a different interpretation? Even universally, one's right stops where that of another begins. Tomorrow this same people would come and talk rubbish about Boko haram. Is this not a milder form of religious intolerance? Or, are we to believe that God hearing our prayers depends on how much we scream into the microphone all in the name of prayer? Sadly, after all the screaming, you will cringe at how badly some of these people behaviour in public.

OP, i am waiting for the first call from a mosque in my area, which will be in a few minutes and then followed by about 3 other mosques. After them will be the christian with another microphone to do the early morning preaching to complete the pack. And of course there goes your sleep! Is it a competition to see who wins God over? The only saving grace na like now wey de light pipo don show who be oga.lol. So, when there is no light we have some respite. My question is whether God will not hear them during this period when PHCN decide to perform?

I will also advocate that everybody, christian, moslem and any other religion should practice the use of microphone to propagate their religion, at anytime of the day, especially early in the morning! The louder, the better!Let us all enjoy the noise from each others religion. . The salvation of this country will come from the super cleansing of our religious organisations and the hearts of their members.

The nowadays religious crusade that disturbs people sleep is totally a criminal act !!! Even thiefs can join those people in other to penetrate and plan the operation of that night ! ..... AND about that of those shouting DIE! DIE ! DIE! U are so on point. There are thousands of religions in the world, I have been to a few places and I can tell u it is never done like this. The Hindus, Buddhist, etc don't use their religion to disturb others, they say their prayers without The next person hearing then. Why then are Christians, especially in Nigeria different? The Moslems is even fairer because their own is early in the morning for a few minutes and it is not that loud. Chritisns is every night when someone is trying to sleep.

This is a nagging issue that needs to be addressed. Go to our schools, offices, residential areas... It's the same story. As I type this comment, a religious group's megaphone's loud noise is banging away on my head! It's quite sad 'over religiosity' wouldn't let us think straight! We only have "A form of goodliness denied of the power thereof". Our sense of sound judgement has been beclouded and grossly impaired by our empty religious beliefs! We are religious yet evil prevails in and around our lives! Religious favoritism is the bane of our existence!

Please apply wisdom here, visit the church In question before taking the next line of action. Make them see reasons why they should turn off their microphone.

In my estate, I have about 5 churches with heavy Bose/Peavy speakers surrounding my house. I always pray to be at work every Fridays and Sundays.
