GboyegaD:Hmm I think that's something I should think about, but walspring told me that its supposed to be written as family funds not students family funds, so that's why I'm kinda fidgeted Well I'll call the school tomorrow to confirm if its an error or its just normal that the VO would understand But since its written as students personal funds do you think I can still go to the embassy with my parent's statement of account, and the VO would understand? |

Hi innovativeame , are you still planning to apply to ASU? I would like to ask some questions, please. |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by GboyegaD(m): 7:44pm On Oct 26, 2014 |
sabiguy: The VO has no business whatsoever with your scores and provided the school finds you worthy to give you admission then, it is good enough. |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by GboyegaD(m): 8:05pm On Oct 26, 2014 |
sabiguy: The VO has no business with your transcript and so the hurdle is getting admission to a good school with the transcript. |

GboyegaD:@Gboyega n others dat may read my last comment, I never intended to abuse Sabiguy bt it was out of annoyance n beside, I had not read the comment of others to him prior to mine. Nonetheless, I think we all shld be courteous and polite in the way and manner we address one another. Some1's comment might seem foolish to you, but definitely not to everybody; we are all learning in one way or the other. |

coobboy: My oga and @walspring....the woman just replied me now..Below is her reply Sponsors are considered part of the "student funding" source of funding. You will need to show the bank statement and sponsorship letter from your aunt to the visa officer. So I guess we shouldn't worry o |

GboyegaD: You might be right about VO not having any business with ny transcripts, but i disagree that the VO has no business with my test score. So you mean they simply ask for the tests during interview just to makesure you wrote one regardless of your score?. Is that correct? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by biikeys(m): 9:15pm On Oct 26, 2014 |
sabiguy: Your transcript is just one supporting document that the VO might not even ask for, especially if you are able to give a good/strong reason why you want to study here..like schools you applied and got admission to, test scores and maybe other supporting docs |

biikeys: My friends that has been to interview and gotten their visas were asked for their GRE score sheet and someone telling me the VO has no business with my test scores baffles me. I think I will agree with you tho and I know for sure the test score is a vital criteria for student visa interview Cc GboyegaD |

slimmy05:Please, don't drag this issue further. You guys are all correct. A friend of mine scored 287 in the GRE and 2.5 in AWA. He got admitted with full scholarship even. IMO, it is the sole function of the institution to offer you admission with whatever score you have and it is left to you to defend yourself well in the face of the VO iff he/she asks for your test scores. 1 Like |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by GboyegaD(m): 2:13am On Oct 27, 2014 |
slimmy05: Please educate me on this. When did a VO become an admissions officer? There is separation of duty and all the VO needs do is assess you to know if you are fit to enter the country. Your standardized test score isn't a criteria for visa in any way. 1 Like |

Walspring:bro good morning, how do I request that my application term be changed to fall or summer, since I have to make amends to my spring 2015 application...... |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by Nobody: 5:22am On Oct 27, 2014 |
GboyegaD:You would have to ask the VO, you can be denied for low test scores which depends on the discretion of the VO. There is nothing to drag bro, I only made my point clear, its a fact not assumption. |
