an armed robbery gang that robbed a
Corpers lodge in Ovade-Oghara, Ethiope
West Local Government area of Delta state
was shot by police officials. He died on his
way to the hospital.
This was made known in a statement by
DSP Celestina Kalu, the Spokesperson for
the Nigerian Police Force, Asaba
Command.
“On the 16th of October, 2014, at about
8.30 p.m., the police at Oghara Police
Station received a distress call that four
armed men had invaded Corpers’ Lodge at
Ovade-Oghara.”
“They robbed the youth corps members of
their money, laptops, electronics and
handsets,” she said.
According to her, based on the information,
a Police patrol team and a Navy patrol
counterpart, with support from the local
vigilante group, mobilized to the scene and
confronted the hoodlums.
“The hoodlums, on sighting the security
teams engaged them in a gun duel and in
the process one of the unidentified armed
robbers was fatally wounded while others
escaped.”
“The wounded armed robber however gave
the name of their gang leader/armourer
before giving up the ghost on the way to
hospital,” Kalu stated.
She said that some of the stolen items were
recovered from the deceased, adding that
efforts were on to track down the gang
leader and other.

I will never forget this day,I was hanging out alone in a bush smoking some weed around 11pm,I decided to leave for my house,so I decided to hitch a ride home if possible,it started raining heavily and
suddenly a Range Rover jeep stopped by my side. I quickly jumped into the passengers side and closed the door then the car started moving and when I was about to say thank you,I discovered there was know one in d car. I started to freak out but was too scared to jump out of a moving vehicle. When the car got to a bend,a hand came through the drivers
window & turned d steering wheel,this happened 2wice and on d 3rd time I totally freaked out and jumped out of d car screaming and landed in a ditch full of water. I jumped out and ran into d nearest bar,ordered a bottle of schnapps to calm down my nerves and telling my ghost story to guys in d bar,3 guys walked in drenched in rain water,one of them pointed at me and said "John,isn't that the mad man who entered the car while we were pushing it?"
