In the history of RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (RSUST) no man or woman born by a human has gotten first class in LAW. u wan die? Meanwhile op all the courses u write niggers don bang first class tire... U dnt even know why law is even respected. They Know little about everything, even all the courses mentioned above, they little about all of them. That's why people in other profession are educated while lawyers are Learned... So pls modify ur post. I'm sorry to tell you as a law student that you just committed a fallacy of argumentum ad ignorantium So ur write up doesn't apply. 1 Like |

Donkris360: I am sure harpers, lehninger and others are still biochemistry textbook aren't they? I remember in my part two days in med skul wen I talked abt some concept in bch, part 3 bch students dared not say anyfin...the point in seeing bch as a hard course isn't in bch itself alone bt in courses u borrowed from other physical sciences like chm,mth and phy...imagine someone in part three bch that has not even done more than one bch course, only in his second sememster part two but havin done like 9 phy chm and mth put together in OAU-Ife...an extra bch student once told me the number of chemistry he offered till graduation was nearly same with bch courses itself...phy chm and mth put together outnumbered his bch courses by far..guess wat he neva had problem wit bch wea he got A-C but physical courses...u may quote me and ask anyone from Ife for clarity sake |

6.Architecture: the funny thing about this course is that it sounds cool and friendly, but when you get in,you know that not all that glitters are gold. You'll get familiar with geometric drawings, optics and so on, which atimes is usually a pain to the ass. Source
the most annoying part of architecture is the sleeping in studeo and clusters of so many drawings in a small time frame. |

iamrealdeji: Lol, you make me laugh. So you studied engineering and you think every other course is moi-moi and ball game abi? Like I said earlier, just get a jamb form and enroll for mass comm. and let me see how you will "lay back and do what you like" and steam roll yourself to a first class or a 2.1 degree. |

Be it Nigeria or anywhere in the world, Engineering is the most difficult course to study. Medicine and Surgery only require longer years when you add internship and all sort (Requires lots of dedication too, but you only read, understand and pour back during exams). It’s nowhere near engineering when it comes to difficulty in learning. Engineering combines knowledge from physics, chemistry and mathematics e.t.c not to mention the unreal problems you have to solve that require you to think, think again and again. Students dropped out of Engineering because of the difficulty, so the drop out issue is not peculiar to medicine alone I can speak for Mechanical, Computer and Electrical Engineering...Infact, almost all engineering course has hours of Lab work/practical to go with it. Scheduling is always a nightmare. With engineering, you don't memorize answers for tests… how nice would that have been? You are given unreal problems to solve, with limited time to do so. Having to take 4 levels of Calculus… The correct list, from the hardest 1. Engineering: Mechanical, Civil, Electrical/Electronics, Chemical, Petroleum e.t.c Congratulations, engineers, now you finally have some proof for what you’ve been telling everyone all along: yours is the hardest major. From chemical to civil to electrical to mechanical, the courses you take in chemistry, physics, calculus, statistics, geology, biology, and other tough prereqs give you the lowest rate of As and the highest rate of Cs for any major. Because of this, the path has a notoriously high dropout rate some have pegged as high as 60% per year. 2. Life Sciences: It’s a rare student who doesn’t find at least one or two concepts that trip him up in cell biology class. The life sciences include anatomy, biochemistry, neuroscience, biology, genetics, zoology, and more tricky subjects, landing this field just behind engineering on the low GPA spectrum. Many graduates of a life sciences path go on to careers in the medical, dental, or veterinary fields, which famously require as many as seven or eight more years of difficult schooling, internship, and residency after a bachelor’s degree is earned. 3. Physical sciences: Physics, chemistry, and geology all fold into this major, making it one of the hardest paths to take on in college. With the lowest percentage of students able to work full-time (more than 30 hours a week) and the fourth-lowest rate of students with GPAs over 3.5, majoring in this field proves to be a challenging undertaking. And the uphill battle doesn’t end after graduation. A glut of graduates, a poor economy, and a move toward cleaner energy has created a troubling outlook for chemistry majors. 4. Business & management: You may think what your boss does is not difficult at all, and you may be right; a degree in management is probably not what makes this category a difficult one. It more likely lands here thanks to the challenges of getting a degree in finance or accounting. Either way, the data shows well below half of business and management students are able to pull off a 3.5 or better, and they average the second-longest amount of time in which students complete their degrees. 5. Social/behavioral sciences: This category seems to be a popular choice for students seeking an easy A, but they could do so more easily by picking something else. The social and behavioral sciences encapsulate what are sometimes known as the “soft sciences”: psychology, economics, sociology, anthropology, and political science. Although they are much more closely related by GPA to some of the easy major entries than they are to engineering, the social and behavioral sciences house the fourth-lowest number of fulltime workers and are tied for shortest median degree completion time. For those shouting law, just accept it simply doesn’t rate as one of the hardest…You can even study law from home, Yeah! It’s that easy. 2 Likes |

duruallwell25: taking few Physics courses that were easy for you doesn't translate into making Physics an easy course to study. I had 'A's in all the Mathematics courses i borrowed from 100L to final year (not boasting), but that'll never make me say Mathematics is an easy course to study. 1 Like |

Gordieshegz:The fact is we are all involved in some difficult analysis at some point of our career. Engineering students have more to deal with than MBBS students when it comes to analysis, I lost count of the frequency of Engineering Analysis, Engineering and Applied Mathematics courses, you always have to analyse everything and every situation while our brothers always have a reference in their textbooks. Its the same thing they studied in Medicine 10 years ago that is still being recycled for the current crop while its otherwise for Engineers. The difference between Nigeria and USA is Engineering, can a nation be hyped for its medics. What do you make of the construction of Third mainland bridge or buruj khalifa; the tallest building in the world. The thing is, doctors have only a life at stake most of the time while Engineers have a lot at stake, most of the time, they have the environment to consider. . 2 Likes |

richiefizzy: lol, cool down small na is like you dey paraooo but their are some dept. in engineering and science dept. in ust that have not yet produce 1st class naa. you say law students know little about everything can you give me the 2nd derivative of x2.(SS1 maths). you forgot that almost every dick, tom and harry qoute and interprete law nowadies. go visit the politics section go see where guys dey qoute law..... section this and section that of the electoral act. article this and article that lol. to the topic. as much as the difficulty of any course lies on the individual ability and cognitive disposition with respect to science or art oriented courses i would rather underpine my arguement the most challaging. I still believe that the engineering field is more challanging because not only does it deal with advanced mathematics, physics, chemistry etc (ie maths and physical sciences) but its application to solve real problem. most of the concept are abstract and for to excel in engineering you have to be very good not only in mathematics but also in theory. medicine is also very challanging because you have to digest so many theories at a time. |
