IfyAwazie:Not 'they may',they definitely will. When actors and actresses are busy joining politics with full force. My dear, these generals have tasted power. Joining politics is not an option, its a sure deal. Just leave them jare let go and add to the headache and mess their veteran generals are creating. 1 Like |

Abujalandlord: Their corps is not into those sort of things. These ones don't even need to handle conventional weapons. They service the 'teeth' arms of infantry, armoured, artillery and to some extent signals corps with the means to sustain campaigns or operations by providing power, repairing damaged or broken down tanks, self propelled guns and the likes. Honestly when the President declares a state of emergency on power or wishes to protect the nations pipelines from vandals or wishes to rid the highways of intransigent trucks and truckers or make the railways work despite sabotage, these are the square pegs for the job because they have a certain level of know-how but with much more teeth. That is knowledge the average rampaging paramilitary man does not have and balls of steel to get things done which the average 'bloody civilian' hasn't either. We have a lot of resources in this country going to waste. The leaking faucet in the desert syndrome and the sheer lack of critical thinking, new ideas is one of our biggest challenges here in Nigeria. |

BRG GEN Adesogan from my home town. The town has once call him to help d indigenes of d town into short service recruitment or NDA or soldiers recruitment. He refused. High time he blamed himself for not assisting his people. Welcome back home retired General |

Retiring generals, removing experienced generals from the from the front line, aiming to execute mutinous soldiers, refusing to buy gunships for the air-force, ceasing fire when the enemy is on the back-foot - I'm only a laymen, from the layman's perspective, looks like Nigeria is waging war on the military not Bokoharam. 1 Like |

An army with lots of deserters cannot afford to be retiring anybody except they are sick and undeployable. I have my reservations on these retirements. Our army must now be questioned and constantly scrutinized. There performance on Boko Haram has not been stellar. |
Re: Nigerian Army Retires 15 Generals From Engineering School by Bluffly: 3:03pm On Nov 01, 2014 |
Caseless: You are a buffon. Did you see their age or was it quoted in the article or was it written in the link that they were forcefully retired. You are meant to use the basic criterion for retirement since no other factor was stated. I don't blame your reason, I blame the platform that gave opportunities for inconsequential beings like you who is not of age to misbehave |

Bluffly: Go back to primary school to learn English, there is no word like tribalise in English, is this how to spell inconsequentials or inconsequential? You cannot pluralize this word. What is tribalism here? We should raise alarm when other regions are not being treated well, it is one Nigeria. The future of generations to come should be paramount in our mind. May be you are from Boko Haram zone. |

Thereishel: When you are quick to attack the use of English on a forum like this then you must be an id**t that has a life opportunity of going to school. Do u know under which condition I was typing or the device I was using or if my auto correct made an error. The same mistake your forefathers made Zike, Obafemi and Balewa is what you are promoting. What if there was no Hausa man that has reached the retirement age. I'm sorry for individuals like you with a primitive reasoning. You are even talking about the future when you are encouraging divisiblity where it shouldn't be. Please I beeseach you to go and work on you low self-esteem because that was what made you to quickly leave the subject and focus on English. That's a trait of a failure. Grow up Kid 1 Like |

Bluffly: I think you smoke weed before you come here as you are attacking everybody. If you know me you will be surprise that i am greater than all your family generation. I am an American engineer though from Nigeria. You are a fool not to know that Hausa population is more that South combined in the army. Who tell you that these people were retired because of years they served in the military? do you see it in the write. Stop smoking weed and snuffing cocaine and i don't know the village where you reside; bloody fool as your name indicate. Waiting to pounce on you again if you reply |
Re: Nigerian Army Retires 15 Generals From Engineering School by Nobody: 8:18am On Nov 02, 2014 |
Reference: I disagree with you only on one point. Some civilians have more balls than the so called guys in the military. Our soldiers are only known for intimidating "bloody civilians" . That does not put a general blanket on all of them though. If you read the history of warfare a lot of the guys who changed the tide of war were never men in uniforms. There are recorded history in which civilian organized group won victories where soldiers failed. The uniform does not infuse a man with bravery or balls as you said. It is the desire to die for what you believe in that gives impetus to bravery and balls. You are probably a military man or have a military background or related to one . I know of so many "bloody civilians" with more balls than our soldiers. I come from a military background and interact with military officers . I know what I am saying. |
