If things are not well spent out, there is bound to be trouble..... A very big one. Are you in the church leadership? Are you privy of their hierarchy and succession plans? Why are worried about redeemed leadership more than the people in redeemed? Or you are just concerned they haven't revealed their plans to you Why should they? 1 Like |

Melahou: What can you say about the catholic church in the event of the death of the pope? Succession in Catholic Church during the old days could be termed as war, there was a lot of division; which led to the dark period of the church. Even the retirement of Pope Emeritus Benedict was fishy to me. 1 Like |

This is scripture,Paul collected offering for remission to Jerusalem for the work of God Be very careful when you pass judgement without knowledge of scripture Read below
1 cor 16 vs 1-4
Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. 2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. 3 Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. 4 If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me. The way you people twist scriptures is alarming! !! ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png) How does I collect donation from a church in need translate into a church remitting hee revenue to the HQ church? In today's world, we can say, Paul didn't establish branches and tell them to remit revenues to Apostle Paul HQ International. ... ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png) Try again please 5 Likes |

Spiritual assignment is not an office job, where you can hand over based on circumstances. If God appointed Adeboye when he was even the least qualified, God has no problem appointing a better replacement in RCCG when Adeboye goes. I can bet my life for it! 3 Likes |

The problem here is that many who get into church arguments and criticisms are not spiritual and cannot see beyond their noses I hope you mature into a place where you will see how fruitless these arguments are. May God open your eyes to see the error in your ways FYI,Adeboye is not the founder of redeemed church The mantle fell on him after the death of the founder I bet you don't know that eitherAfter his death, which may even be in 20 years, the mantle will fall on another 3 Likes |

I'm too big for that. I know RCCG more than you can imagine. I used to be a member but no more. The question is, If I, like Paul goes to a place to preach and my home church is in Jerusalem and I collect donation from where I am preaching to give to my home church, Jerusalem. Does that = to that church where I'm preaching remitting their revenues to me or to Jerusalem? 4 Likes |

AdeniyiA: in as much as you have some valid points concerning the disintegration of the head church after the death of the GOs, did you ever ask if God is through with him? if not that some churches have gone commercial, the position of an overseer is not like that of politics ,where the outgoing office holder can choose his successor. This is strictly God's business I believe that since the church was handed over to him nd has since being waxing strong,it would surely wax stronger when Adeboye is gone .God owns redeem not Adeboye But he can pray to God for direction concerning his successor. God can speak to him on what to do. |

Chukwutobi: Reason Pastor E. A. Adeboye Should Handover Now!
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has expanded greatly and it is still expanding. This tremendous growth has made it one of the richest churches in Africa(it may even be the richest). It has a large number of pastors with the head as Pastor E. A. Adeboye.
The problem is some (if not many) are position covetous. It will surprise you the things these pastors use to canvass for position. They give gifts that do not come from their heart to senior pastors and show fake 'submissiveness'.
If Pastor Adeboye dies without putting his successor in the general overseer position, there will be a big problem. This problem will be similar to that of Christ Apostolic Church(CAC) of Apostle Ayodele Babalola. Despite how prayerful the man was, the events that followed his death were strange as pastors at a time used charms against themselves in the name of fighting for position. The factions of CAC now are many and the church lacks unity even till now.
The reason for my opinion now is death can come anytime. I'm not wishing Pastor Adeboye death o. What I'm saying is Apostle Babalola death came without notice. He had just prepared for a crusade and decided to sleep than he died. Also the recent death of Pastor Sadela (oldest man on pulpit) is a sign. A man that claimed God told him he will live up to 200 years died suddenly.so a man claimed dat God
Anyway it is my opinion and this may be disregarded if God leads him not to handover now. |

Thank you. Believe it or not, there is politics everywhere. The church is not an exemption. I read in the Punch where the highest body in Assemblies of God Church sacked their General Suprintendent and withdrew his certificate. He has gone to court. In CAC, the inability to resolve their crises has resulted to different factions. |
