...actually the middle-east beam of 95.0east seems possible at the edge is 46dBW...very close to Nigeria that means you are likely to invert a 1.8 to 2.4m offset dish to hit the beam!..

Please i would like to know the folowing abt str 4950; whether it accept BISS, handles consat tp (tvc) & can work with cccam without a router. I went for 4950H or 4950M bt couldnt get either.

well i got a 4950 box from one of strong's major dealers @ alaba recently. on the box,an inscription 'upgraded to 4950h' was placed on the carton .i have used it for tvc and it handles it well but the 11137 v 30000 channels(bbc ) on amos breaks intermittently. the software version i have here is V2.42. the F1 8280 key isnt bringing out anything .i want to believe a software upgrade will resolve the breaking bbc package and the biss key patch but am so afraid to load software because this box looks so much like a china strong.the interface looks very much like those qsat and the rest china hd decoders. pls let other members using this box confirm if this is fake or not

Happy Sunday, my people. please I need solution to this.

I bought a scrap 1.8 meter prime focus plastic-like dish which I hope to refurbish. The problem is that I don't have the mounting materials. I don't know how it should look like so that I can explain to a welder to have it constructed.

I need pictures of the mounted ones. Any other help is appreciated. Thanks

Well i also got mine @ Alaba, its black and very light,the F1 function key works perfectly, and it looks original to me. the BBC tp you're talking about is it c or ku?[/i]

Please provide more information on this like tp and min dish size required.

Hello folks, I am a COMPLETE NEWBIE to FTA or Satellite tech.

I want to know good a QSAT Q23G decoder is?
How does it work?
Since it uses a simcard,which network is compatible with it and how much recharge does it need?
Do I need an external dish for it to work or does it work like the normal star-times n GOTV decoders?
Does it really get all channels including DSTV channels for FREE??
Is it illegal to import it into the country

These are just some of the questions I would like answered. Thank you all.

This is free to air forum, not free to hack. So here we advice that if you want DSTV then buy their decoder, simple. If you want Qsat for free to air, then ask questions based on that.

@Janyves. For reference purposes the software for SRT4950 is compatible with that of SRT4950H and SRT4950M.

NO, the software for srt 4950 is only compatible with srt 4950M not srt4950H,4950H is deferent from them,if you upgrade srt 4950 with srt4950H software you are on your own,all of the above software are all HD decoder.So dont be fooled by the H-to mean HD

volume is in horizontal straight line n menu is written..not animated.

U hvnt said if der are adult channels here, pls.
