1. Frosbel: You have to admire her tenacity. She has built her tiny closet into her own little universe with its own laws and its own unique logic. i actually miss her whenever she is absent for a while.

2. Tbaba: always adress issues from a scholarly islamic viewpoint.

3. Toba. Jolly good fellow.has an obsession with athiests because he thinks its another competing religion.

4. Pastor AIO: the voice of wisdom. Brings an enlightened and balanced perspective to discussions.

5.Deepsight: Another voice of reason. Always presents the other side of an argument that I forgot to consider.I am greatly enriched.

6.Jesoul: The trinity of of Wisdom,reason and grace. just like my mother, Jesoul is the embodiment of a good christian.

7. Enigma- the sniper.Despite his tantrums and his obsession with his "evangelical athiests", I think there is decent guy inside. I think he is a law student whose big dream is to stand before the supreme court and prove that through judicial fiat,athieism should indeed be a religion. If i were his law proffessors, i would give him a C for effort.

@Deep_Sight - Painfully intelligent, stubbornly (in a subtle way) argumentative - you leave the thread a lot more informed and a few dead brain-cells due to the thought-rigor he puts you through

Martian-The dude writes things that makes one wonder if there are a few loose screws in his head. His posts makes me shudder and chortle simultaneously. I have never taken anything he says seriously .

Logicboy and logicboy01-He bestrides this section like a demon on a mission . Baby atheist,he strikes me as an easygoing fellow off NL.

Jayriginal-nice,sweet guy,both on and off NL . May the Lord have mercy on him.

My favourite theists in no particular order:

- KunleOshob: Very honest Christian. His crusade against the ecclesiastical fraud called "Tithe" has evidently opened so many eyes here on Nairaland and beyond. For that singular reason alone, he deserves a medal.

- Davidylan: Highly intelligent fellow. Aggressive, plain, appears to have a burning passion for Christ. I always imagine what his keyboard would look like, as I am constantly under the impression that he hits the keys so hard especially while debating Muslims and atheists. He would have been the perfect Jihadist, were he a Muslim. The footsoldiers of Mohammed would love to have someone like him in their ranks.

- Jesoul: Very objective and honest Christian. Always calm, always a breath of fresh air on any thread she participates. I love her approach to Christianity. She exudes so much wisdom. She's one of those few Christians that don't go about trying to use some faulty logic to justify their beliefs.

- Uyi Iredia: Intellectual Christian, although he nurses some questionable beliefs. A decent Christian apologist at best. Often ends up "discombobulating" issues with some strange logic. Reminds me somewhat of my old Christian self. I see him turning to either deism, agnosticism, atheism or full pantheism some day.

- Viaro: Extremely knowledgeable fellow. Way too knowledgeable and intelligent to be a religionist (IMHO).

- Pilgrim.1: Reminds me every bit of shahan, an ancient Nairalander (from writing style to shared opinions and beliefs). Highly intelligent woman, she is.

- Pastor AIO: His username often confuses a lot of people (I've seen many people refer to him as a "fake" pastor ). One of the wisest men and possibly the most misunderstood fella on this forum.

- Deep Sight: Behold, the literary giant of Nairaland! Eloquent, articulate, painstaking, and of course, verbose . He always delivers his points so perfectly, even when he's wrong . Certainly one of the brightest minds I've ever come across. I often find myself wondering what he looks like in real life.

- MyJoe: This man has the aura of some old sage. Whenever his name pops up on any thread, always expect to read something profound from him. His cool demeanour is also something I really admire.

- Anony: Logical and very calm. He's one of those that although I hardly agree with anything he posts, I often look forward to reading them.

- OlaAjia: This guy cannot possibly be a theist, much less a Muslim! He is exceedingly objective in his thoughts, and he's also very articulate and intelligent as well.

- Debosky: Not a regular here, but I find him a really exciting Christian. He's like your typical "Hey, I know this stuff doesn't make sense to you, but I believe it anyway". Much like Jesoul. Doesn't go around attempting to explain away things with some apologetic hogwash.

- Enigma: When he's not harping on evangelical atheists and how much of a "fool" they are, he often makes sense too.

- Joagbaje: As much as he tries, he does a pretty awful job of defending his pay master (Oyakhilome) on Nairaland. But I like him nonetheless. He's probably the most vilified Christian on this board, yet, I don't recall ever seeing him respond in kind. If there's anything like heaven, I reckon he'll get in before most of those that constantly attack him here.

As for my favourite theist is no other than pastor/mr olaade whatever (no offence with the name misspelling) - he's just an illogical and sometimes annoying with his post but hehehe, if he aint here then I guess this religious section will be dry.

Has anyone noticed that when a theists foams at the mouth and vigorously (though not rigorously) attacks atheism that he is well on his way To becoming an atheist himself. It is a sign of someone losing their faith.

Alrite, let's unwind with some fun. Reading some posts of my atheist friends on NL, I realized that notwithstanding our disagreements I am quite fond of some of them. To bridge the divide between atheists and theists on this board, lets play a little team building game: here goes: theists, mention your favourite atheists on NL and say nice things about them, and vice versa!

As a theist: I would mention my favourite atheists on this board:

1. KAG (on sabbatical), but for her very high intelligence and sarcasm

2. ToneyB ( - also on Sabbatical - Ever the briliant Professor)

3. Mazaje : For his exceptional honesty, decency, objectivity, and most importantly for his careful distinction between the existence of GOD and the existence of man made Gods

4. Plaetton: The most profound thinker I have ever met who called himself an atheist. I have told him that he is pantheist, though.

5. The Homer: Succinct and clear in all his arguments. Never unduly wordy. Masks behind soft rejoinders an aggressive and all-pervading intellect!

6. Idehn: Awfully bright guy and desperately pays attention to words and definitions: a tad frustrating, though.

7. Jayriginal: Fair minded and careful in distinctions. Very careful. I have a sneaky view though that he is more agnostic than atheist: though he himself asserts that there is no distinction.

8. And last but not the least, the ebullient, aggressive, terrible boy scout, and my greatest spar partner in recent times: MARTIAN! - For his sheer doggedness and refusal to respect what he considers Bulls*hit, no matter how elegantly written, and I do try!

PS: I would certainly have put purist at the top of my list, but I am not certain of what he is: he hates labels. Profound, and clear, is what I would call him.

I am going to church now, dont ask me why again, I am looking for something (won't tell you what) - so when am done, I will post some of my favorite posts made by these atheists which I consider brilliant or profound.

I will also, in quoting their great posts, seek to show them that inspite of our different views, I truly appreciate some of the great things that they say.
