The only authority in Mubi right now is Boko Haram authority. All the three battalions of the Nigerian army garrisoned at Mubi including the HQ of the 234 battalion have been completely dislodge by Boko fighters

Vimtim, the home town of the chief of defence staff have also been captured whilst some displaced people are still trapped in the surrounding bushes and mountains.
