igboin1:Guy just shine your eye, research more on the company, since yahoo boys can build Bank website and co, and use it to scam people, is it......they cannot. The most annoying thing is that this boys have agents across the globe that speaks different languages |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by justi4jesu(f): 7:31am On Nov 04, 2014 |
NADAL5: No if you read backwards like you have said then you dont need any advice on this 3years working visa issue. Commence at your own risk. Nobody will force you to go ahead or discourage you not to go ahead with the deal but sit and think before sending your hard earned money for processing working visa you may definitely end up not getting. Goodluck |

@justi4jesus, may the Lord continue to strengthen and guide for your honest contributions and candid advise. I'd like to know about the career prospects of safety officers in the UAE. A friend with practically no experience in the field( just wrote his NEBOSH IGC exams) does he stand a chance of even starting as an assistant or something? Cheers |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by worry359(m): 9:55am On Nov 04, 2014 |
seagulsntrawler:His problem will be that when the companies are looking for something important like a Safety Officer They will be looking first at UK / USA people then Europe then India / China Then local people, last of all Black Africans. |

Just over the news now CNN reporting that a 70 years old American was arrested in the UAE for photography in off limit place.... This is scary. For those living over there in dubai, this does suggest you could be arrested for a selfie or taking photos? |

icedbreez: I can't really say much about that case because I have not read about it. There are some religious places in Nigeria where you can't wear slippers or take pictures. Its the same here. There are signs and warning in some places warning against such. Again they don't allow photographs to be taken of their women anyhow. So its possible he took pictures of them without their consent. I take about 5 selfies a day and I haven't been arrested yet. I also take photos of various places and I have not been stopped. You just have to obey rules and regulations where you find them. |

sonofaGod: Reading the leaflet that came with my new UBA Mastercard, withdrawals on ATMs outside Nigeria is charged at N240 while shopping on the POS and Web is free. I hope this helps, I don't know if this fee is fixed by the issuing bank or Mastercard. |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by icedbreez(m): 9:39am On Nov 06, 2014 |
Offcourse you have to obey laws where you find them but situations where you dont know the laws as a tourist it becomes a nightmare if you re caught. For instance is it ok to take photos in religious places like the Jumeirah Mosque? and places like the the Metro and the Jumeirah Museum? monchouchou: |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by justi4jesu(f): 9:50am On Nov 06, 2014 |
sonofaGod: They charge me #450 per withdrawal for Firstbank mastercard and i can't withdraw more than 3,000 AED i.e #135,000 in a day. Mashreq bank will charge you #900 per withdrawal. I dont know about other banks. And Note that not all ATM machines in Dubai accepts Nigeria mastercard, RakBank and NoorBank Accepts FBN mastercard anytime anyday. As for Emirates NBD,ADCB, these banks will just vomit your Firstbank card Hope this helps. 1 Like |

Hey, please like how much can I get a hotel reservation for a week in UAE? I mean a very cheap one. No money. |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by justi4jesu(f): 1:13pm On Nov 06, 2014 |
tunnex190: If no money then your best bet is to go for shared hotel which will cost 125 dirhams per night with 1 or 2 persons in a room. (Deira Palace Hotel) 100 dirhams shared hotel per night with 1 or 2 persons in a room (Time Square Hotel) 100 dirhams shared hotel per night with 1 or 2 persons in a room (Tamarind hotel) 100 dirhams shared hotel per night with 1 or 2 persons in a room (Blue diamond Hotel or Al andalus Hotel) All located in Deira. |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by ugsams(m): 6:15pm On Nov 06, 2014 |
I will be coming over to emirates very soon on a tourist visa. I'll need answer to the following questions. What is the cheapest means of transportation to get to Deira from the Dubai airport? (suggest the possible amount) What are the names of the most common bed space accommodations, and locations for Nigerians? Which network has the most affordable data and the code for the dataplan? (I use more data than call) Is it better to open a bank account on arrival or should I wait until I settle down? Which airline offers the biggest kg on economy ticket? @ justi4jesu Monchouchou sonofaGod mystikay and other members of the house. |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by worry359(m): 6:24pm On Nov 06, 2014 |
ugsams: If you are on a TOURIST visa you are going back home NOT settling down. Or are you going thinking of going illegal when you get there? Do you actually have a visa or tickets yet? |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by frostmate: 6:42pm On Nov 06, 2014 |
ugsams: For airlines you might want to consider Ethiopia airlines, Rwanda airlines, Emirates and ethihad, Kenyan airlines, Qatar airways. You can check their websites for baggage allowances and price of tickets and then compare. Opening a bank account might depend on your purpose of travel to the UAE. As a first timer maybe best you take taxi....taxi meters start from 20 or 25 AED from the airport which is equivalent of 1000 naira plus. There is a metro going from airport terminal 1 and 3 to deira city centre - don't know where you intend going in deira. You will have to buy a nol card if you intend moving around by metro and bus. There are only two networks in the UAE - du and etisalat. To be honest I am not impressed with either one of them with regard to data but du might be better. They have a stand at the arrivals section in terminal 1. It's hard to miss when going out of the airport from terminal 1. |

Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by ugsams(m): 7:54pm On Nov 06, 2014 |
frostmate: Thanks for your input. I learnt that I can call Etisalat lines in Nigeria at local rates how true is this? |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by Mystikay(m): 7:04am On Nov 07, 2014 |
Yeah u can make cheap calls to Nigeria from Ur DU network. There is a code.If u have someone in Dubai already,I'll advice u don't buy lines(sim card) from d airport.Sometimes u pay 3 times d amount. If u already have an arranged accommodation, best option is to load about #2000 credit on Ur Nigerian line so as to enable u receive calls.Ull b charged #33 per min(Etisalat) dunno abt mtn or air tel.Let Ur contact locate u via Ur Nigerian number. When u get to diet a its only 20 Durham's(#900)..For me,I started loading #100,#200 anytime I had loose change in 9ja.Make d money no too much for me on d day of departure...lol..Also try and open a gtb or any bank dat has master card.Cos trust me,ull surely need it..U Neva can tell. Also make sure u activate Ur internet banking cos God fit help u and u get a very good job where ull b required to exit to Kish or Oman. And u fit no get d opportunity to come back to 9ja..How wud u now b transferring money to Ur loved ones?Yes there r mobile money transferred hard but it wud b cheaper to transfer from Ur own acct...#myopinion |
Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by ugsams(m): 8:56am On Nov 07, 2014 |
Mystikay: Thanks bro I have activated UBA UDirect, I will get my token today. I will also request for my GTBank token next week. I don't have a pre-arranged accommodation, so I will be going from from the airport to the hotel and by day two, I will walk to any of the bed space accommodation to pay for a month. I asked for details on opening account so as to make sure the money I came in with will be safe while I hustle for employment. |
