With a 524 billion usd economy, that's impossible.

However, with the support gotten from colonialist over the years to the various apartheid governments , nigeria only needs a little time to beat the afrikanner defence industry.

Considering your current range of products, i would say you are about 40-60 years behind us.

And again, how does South Africans improvement of South Africa qualify for discussion in a military thread?

Please tell us.

Your minister says the. SANDF is in a critical state of decline, saddled with equipments it cannot operate or maintain.

She also said, your troops lack tents in the DRC.

A government official said your SAAF lacks aviation fuel.

Yes that's good. She was actually selling defence review document before the parliament, so that it should receive majority support.

The Denel Group has been awarded Level-3 Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment status in recognition of its performance in the 2013/14 period.
http://www.denel.co.za/about-us/company-profile

Level 3 + over 50% Black owned and run
http://www.bee.co.za/content/Information.aspx

Now stop de-railing the thread.

This debate is OVER.

You asked for a black owned and run company in our defence sector.

We have given you one - our biggest

What is BEE designed for?

You provide a quota system here as prove of black participation, you need you brain examined.

The ALHARC has how many black people in the project?

All the engineers are white. On paper it is government owned, in practical, white run and controlled.

WHAT ? I personally I know black engineers in Denel Dynamics involved with the A-Darter program...

In case you didn't know, Denel has an annual learnership intake which majority are black.

Our biggest defence company is Black majority owned and run.

Paramount is 75% owned by a BEE holding group
http://www.eprop.co.za/commercial-property-news/item/6757-Paramount-and-Mvelaphanda-announce-BEE-transaction.html

Paramount Group owns the company that makes the AHRLAC

Whats next?

You now have 2 of our biggest defence companies. Both are black majority owned.

Yet again, this does not change the fact that the IGIRIugugugu is a POS
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ActivateKruger: 4:38pm On Nov 05, 2014
even BAE South Africa is 25% black owned which is waaaaaaaay bigger in shareholder value than Nigerian 100% black owned.

The Dutch and English settlers were much in control of things before 1990. The real South Africans were busy blowing up things and rioting.

Show me the picture of the first indigenous APC manufactured in South Africa.
The were different "countries or kingdoms" in what is today South Africa, in the late 1880s.

Which were conquered by the British empire from the South African republic(Boers or Afrikaners), Pedis, Zulus to Xhosas.

Then whom are you referring to as "real South Africans"?

Cause South Africans come from different racial groups. Anyone who identifies Africans, black to be specific as the "real South Africans" needs a history lesson.

Dictators were too in control in Nigeria.

Russia fled from Osama's boys in Afghanistan. Almighty France and USA. fled from the NVA in the 60’s. Iraqi army fled from ISIS.

The Nigerian army never fled from boko haram. We've had our successes and our shortcomings on the war against boko haram. In a conventional warfare, the gallant men of our armed forces will crush the terrorists in just hours.

Mubi was a deliberate withdrawal by a handful Nigerian army officers who ordered their men to pull out even before Boko Haram arrived where they were in Mubi, they seem to have betrayed and handed over Mubi to Boko Haram without a fight.

We have had many misfortunes of fifth columnist Nigerian military officers selling weapons to Boko Haram secretly or leaving weapons and vehicles behind deliberately by withdrawing from base and allowing Boko Haram to possess the weapons.

It's hard for us with 50% of Nigerian military being Islamic faithfuls to now fight against Islamic Jihadists of Boko Haram, no nation in this world can find such a war easy.

Even Canada that is 99% Christian origin had their government Parliamentary building penetrated by an Islamic terrorist who almost got face to face with Canada's prime minister, the terrorist k.illed a soldier guarding the Canadian Parliament inside the building while all Senators and Legislators locked themselves behind closed door of the parliament. Canada's prime minister escaped with bodyguards through the back door.

Now Canada has ordered all soldiers to stop wearing military uniforms inside Canada because they can be killed by Islamic terrorists.

This war is the most difficult to fight anywhere in the world, Nigeria is strong to have survived alone, Iraq has USA, UK, France and Canada sending in massive force of jet fighters and special forces to stop ISIS from capturing the whole of Iraq.

Nigerian army has arrested the 5 traitor officers that gifted Mubi to Boko Haram....pure internal sabotage, if tried and found guilty those officers will be sentenced to death and shot, executed by firing squad

Yeah they probably speak the other languages because we have 11 official Languages, I dare you to go to "Wits University" and go look the the students Studying Aeronautical engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, most of them are black, you D*mb a55es think you know everything about S.A, I challenge you to come and see the Some of the old Cheetah jets that out "black" students are working on.

Also go to Denel and check out their Apprenticeship programmes, you'll see a lot of young Black kids training, maintaining some of the Aircrafts and Missiles, and why do you think some of our new missiles have African Names, they have those names because some of them were designed by Black people, or they played a major role in the development of the weapons.

Nigeria has 100% capacity to build stealth warships of 2014 modern generation, South Africa CANNOT do it.

Nigeria built bomb detonation Robot, South Africa does not.

Nigeria produces ground attack rocket pods, South Africa does not.

I can agree South Africa is about 5 years ahead of Nigeria in defence industry, and that's only because Nigeria helped you to inherit the Boer whiteman's legacy, infratsructure and technology handed over to you after being fully built by your ex apartheid European race white masters who wasted all your black and coloured peoples destiny in the process, those your wasted illiterate, lazy, and jobless generations are the ones now being fed free food and houses by the new black ANC government as a permanent annual expense that swallows large portion of South African budget, knocking your country into a massive $40 billion foreign debt that your grandchildren will have to repay both principal amount and loan interest.

@agaugust,perhaps it is time for military reform.too much of our military facilities are based in the north.about 60-70% of our troops{army and airforce} are based in the north.the hausa-fulani have always been a little over-enthusiastic about their ideology and religion.religion in the north is an impediment that is almost challenging the patriotism of the people to the country.i would suggest that aggressive measures be taken to control and contain a certain element of the northern region.the troops are being confused,as they are forced to turn on their brothers and kill them, they are prone to propaganda of religion which make them feel that they have sinned by killing 'innocent jihadists' who have allegedly been tasked by allah to kill all infidels and unbelievers while conquering territory for allah in the hopes of winning a few virgins in the afterlife.perhaps they feel it is the legacy of mohammed.this can brings dessent amongst even the most professional troops.let religion and ideology be stripped.

So, what did they want in Cameroon along with civilians? Were they lost or what just as your spokesperson said?

Some of them were purported to have undressed their uniform along the way as they were trying to maneuver their way out of the sight of BH.
