What more can we add to this beautiful article? The only thing I disagree with is the statement that GEJ is not the best. As far as am concerned, GEJ is the best and the most intelligent President Nigeria ever had fully equipped with the necessary knowledge and experience to build and consolidate his achievements over the last four years. The legacy of this admistration is the drive towards a diversified economy. Just like the writer pointed out, GEJ planted many seeds. Seeds that are poised to lift Nigeria to a higher economic pedestal. Seeds in the power sector, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Mortgage and the housing sector, Transportation etc. In short few years, these seeds will mature and take the country to another level of greatness. 2 Likes |

OP, your thought process and conclusions are illogical. They are mere assumptions designed to malign the APC. The failures of this govt has been universally-acclaimed, it is visible to the blind, and resounding to the deaf. Seems the TANoids new strategy is to ACKNOWLEDGE the INCOMPETENCE of this govt, while you subtly ask for the continuation of the rot, due to paucity of alternatives.Isn't that madness? WHAT AN INSULT on the sensibility of 170 Million Nigerians! You write off APC candidates, while pdp are bent on imposing Gej on Nigerians? Are there no performing politicians in pdp? Why Jona and Sambo? Why not Sule Lamido/Akpabio/Sullivan Chime? Jona , T.A Orji, Uduaghan ,Suswan are birds of a feather in leadership. They should each be given an Oscars for their LeaDAFTship abilities. Which rght-thinking person will write-off a disciplined, parsimonious, unyielding and focused Buhari? Or his indefatigable runninig mate, the learned Fashola, astronomical think-tank, exemplary administrator, charismatic visionary, legal luminary par excellence. OP, must either be an ex-militant living like a king on amnesty budget, or a paid JonaTAN foot soldier. NO WAY FOR YOU. Jona had the chance to make a change and re-write history, but he wasted it. He appointed Ministers from all over the country into his cabinet, but forgot to create a portfolio for minister of 'PERFORMANCE'. So Sir, go find something better to do and stop putting your life at risk with your presence at saTANic rallies ( Remember NIS Scam). TANjaweed !!! 2 Likes |

pendy79: Ofcourse GEJ has imperfections, i am not saying he should remain, but if he must go out someone whose focus is on Nigeria should take over from him and not one who just wants to be president for his selfish political ambition. Or someone who will come and destroy the little GEJ has managed to do under this harsh conditions to ensure he takes no glory. That will be at the expense of the growth of this nation . 3 Likes 1 Share |

Tokunbohkinibig: Remember that Nigeria is not a United Nation. IT is not easy to lead people to a promise land when they keep rebelling. IT is this same rebellion that made the children of Israel to spend 40yrs in a 40days journey . How have the past govt dealt with people who decide to blow up themselves because they are promised virgins ? Please share with us how the past govt handled them. 1 Like |

mekaboy: My brother look beyond your nose. Do your research, read wide and take a well informed stance not guided by speculation halftruths and fairy tales. GEJ is the worst thing to happen to the presidency or leadership of Nigeria. Leave the bandwagon effect of blind fellowership, leave nairaland propaganda and study the economic indices from 1980-till date and then form your opinion from there. |

dmozart: On the issue of privatization , lets look at the power sector. What has been happening in the power sector is that the FG provides salaries for the workers so those in charge loot the money generated from electricity, after all GOVT pays salaries. Gov hardly makes anything from the electricity. They spend more than they get from NEPA. GOVT pays for the electricity equipments, they are imported and sold by those in charge of NEPA like they did in subsidy . Today govt has left the distribution of electricity in the hands of individuals who have bought these plants in partnership with banks. So its more like, they will now run the company from what they generate, this will improve the quality of service because the salary of the workers and profit of the investors depends on how much is generated. That is a good one and with this new method, trust me we will have steady electricity in a short while. |

The opposition with their bitter politics have seen the seeds that Nigerians have refused to see. They want to get in there by all means to uproot them before the leafs spring up and Nigerians start to praise GEJ. This is not about Moving Nigeria forward it is about who takes the glory, even if it means taking Nigeria backward to disgrace the ruling president . |

A kingdom divided among itself shall not stand. No mater who is the president, as long as the nation is divided progress will be sluggish . All that is happening the political scene could be a blessing in disguise . Gejs attention has been divided into 3. 30% for Nigerians 30% for those who a fighting Nigeria as a nation 40% of those within the PDP that want to see this administration fail. At the end of the day, those within the PDP that want the administration to fail will move out. Nigerians will get 70% attention because the enemies within the party must have been exposed and left. I am not saying GEJ should not be voted out, but i am saying this is a very critical time, and allowing Self centered and bitter politicians to take over power will be far worse than GEJ. 2 Likes |

Honestly, the op deserve 56 stroke of the cane on his bare back and bottocks, perhaps that may revive you to your senses. I view with pity and hopelessness the path most youths decided to walk influence mostly by historical hate. You can't live in a system that is barely coping and you writting a disjointed, meaningless script secretly begging Nigerians to support it. Are we that cheap and hopeless and tribal and clannish and greedy and uncivilised and brain dead and inconsequential that we can be bought over under whatever guise to sell our humanity and sense of belonging just for what really? Something is seriously wrong with this people and argueing back and forth won't do it. Op, i weep for u. 1 Like |

Djicemob: One proof of the incompetence of this government is the fact that with all the arrest of BH fighters and bomb throwers no meaningful intelligence has been extracted from them to track the sponsors and backers of the group. But the government is content to let rumor mill tell us the sponsors are northern politicians and PDP spokesperson also uses religious angle by labeling opposition members supporter of APC. Yet the president has never called them to order, and yet expects votes and support from norther muslims. This fuels suspicion that the presidency and his party know more about how the insurgency has escalated and how it is financed than they disclose |

mekaboy:How can any sane person pull a person down who is working for his own good? Our 'insanity' as a nation hasn't reach that. The gov't failed woefully and disappointed the massive goodwill of majority Nigerians who made sacrifice for it. The sharp rise of critics is owe to the abysmal performance of the gov't. I tell you, no gov't was massively installed and embraced like this one, but expectations were dashed. The only legacy that will be left after the exit of this administration, is the tribal and religious divide currently rocking this country, quite unprecedented. No one wants to replace a winning team or party. That Nigerians want a change is an indication of failed administration. 1 Like |

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Jhalil Tafawa-Balewa, has said he is no longer interested in challenging President Goodluck Jonathan for the party’s ticket. The PDP presidential aspirant, who is the son of a former Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, said he had already withdrawn his intention to run for the Presidential primary. He said he was already supporting the candidacy of President Jonathan for the party’s sole ticket. Tafawa-Balewa stated this in Abuja on Thursday during a press conference organised by Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark. Clark had earlier claimed that he spoke to the aspirant on behalf of the President with the intention of achieving peace in the party. The aspirant, who had paid the mandatory N22m to the party was denied the party’s nomination form when he approached its leadership. Clark said, “I wish to inform you that I have succeeded in intervening to make peace between two of my sons, Dr. Jhalil Tafawa Balewa and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. “Dr. Jhalil Tafawa Balewa had indicated his intention to contest the presidential primaries on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party against the decision of the party to give President Goodluck Jonathan the right of first refusal. Unfortunately this issue was to generate unnecessary public distraction as detractors jumped to capitalise on it to make unfounded commentaries. “The relationship between Dr. Jhalil Tafawa Balewa and President Goodluck Jonathan dates back to 2005 when the latter was the deputy governor of Bayelsa state. In deference to their old ties, Dr. Jhalil, has formally withdrawn his aspiration to contest the presidential election in the 2015 general elections”. Confirming the development, Tafawa-Balewa said, “What you have heard from Chief (Clark) is true. I have accepted to step down for the President. I won’t run again.” He, however, refused to answer whether or not his N22m nomination fee had been refunded by the PDP. source: Punch |

mekaboy: This is the most infantile comments i have ever come across in defense of why Jonathan should be voted back to office. So in your little mind it is about praise and glory and little to do about human lives. You can gloat over your invisible seeds planted by your principal, and you can invite him to lead your state to the promised land from 2015. |

mekaboy:This is the line that got me vexed!!!! GEJ is perhaps the luckiest president EVER! He had almost everything on a platter. Oil boom, people's support, name it. I supported him against the cabal of Turai and that went on till his election. However, GEJ turned COMPLETELY against the masses as soon as he became president. He turned deaf to the yearnings of the people. When people died during NIS test, the whole country was calling for the sack of the interior minister. That same minister is still waxing strong in GEJ administration. GEJ's only soothener to that incidence was a 'promise' of auto employment for the families of the victims. That is yet to be done! Look at the subsidy issue too. Is it not clear now that GEJ wasnt for Nigerians? what has the average joe on the street gotten out of this government? For you to then say a 'LARGE PERCENTAGE' are waiting to see him fail, it is a sign of total brainwash and disregard for the masses. Anyways 2015 will tell. 1 Like |
