Djicemob:Here: Reports coming out of Mubi and Vimtim of major setbacks in the war against terrorism are distressing. Our thoughts and prayers are with our troops and those besieged by those marauding terrorists. May God keep you safe and grant us victory. It is becoming clear that the government lacks any coherent strategy on fighting terrorism. Any strategy for fighting terrorism must revolve around the 4Ds (Defeat, Deny, Diminish and Defend). That entails DEFEATING terrorism by exposing its sponsors and disrupting its support, DENYING it sanctuary and flushing it out of its safe havens, DIMINISHING the underlying conditions that terrorists seek to exploit like radicalism, intolerance and underdevelopment, and DEFENDING against new threats and proliferation of existing ones by targeting terrorist infrastructure wherever it exists. On the humanitarian level, the authorities must make provisions to feed the millions that are hungry, provide clothing and shelter for those displaced, and medical care and rehabilitation for the wounded and deeply traumatized. I strongly believe that Nigeria will not only defeat terrorism, but will succeed in bringing its sponsors and supporters to justice, no matter how long. May God help our troops. God bless Nigeria! |

Ovamboland:You seem not to know the kind of insurgency we are experiencing in this nation. We are dealing with some brainwashed youth who prefer to die than expose their source of power. Didn't you hear Oguche(the masterminder of nyaya bomb blast) confession? He said even if you arrest him, it can't stop BH. We are fighting people who are ready to DIE for their faith. |

Imagine u saying, why won't Buhari and atiku solve the problem before they are elected? How are they supposed to do that? And u were saying the things they would do the nip the problem! Are u a soothsayer finally? By bringing in Islamic or boko haram ministry, u hope to sway Christian voters from them. When are u people going to realise that ur audience is both Muslims and Christians. I think u just qualified for yaba hospital. |

Op is a known ardent GEJ supporter, yet he deceptively starts his thread with the usual TANist tactic of: 'I am not a GEJ supporter...' - Lol Then end his write up with the usual: 'GEJ is not the best, but APC is not an option' All of you TANists opens threads by saying you're not a GEJ supporter but... Is this what you lot are being trained to do in your TAN meetings - to pass yourselves off on social media as some kind of 'neutral' observers. Rubbish! GEJ is not a capable man. Nigeria deserves better and will get better with APC. 1 Like |

EldaTimba: And what intel has the government been able to get from him, his contacts, account activity, phone calls, for any links with likely sponsors? Nothing, no single breakthrough and you want to continue with this failed approach for the next 4 years? No wonder the heavy northern politicians who have held this country down are all behind Jonathan. That is why we want someone who is not part of Kaduna mafia to take over. The mafia are all PDP members and very comfortable with GEJ so we must take the country back from them |

Ovamboland:You still don't get it. This BH isn't political. They are religious war. Can you say ISIS is political? You can say intel haven't made breakthrough because oguche was caught in sudan. Did you hear what kabiru sokoto said? He said he will open up if granted a state pardon.(A move which was widely criticized). Finally, like what wole soyinka said, if americans decide to bomb themselves, there is nothing Obama can do. |

EldaTimba: Obasanjo also faced insurgency from Niger Delta, yet was able to do some milestone projects, pay $12Bn to clear the debt and grew the foreign reserve to over $60bn, and started NIPP with about 10 power plants with about 4 commissioned and commenced the unbundling of NEPA in preparation for privatization for which Ebele is counting as a major success. Re: Dangers Of Voting Out GEJ For APC In 2015 by EldaTimba(m): 12:50pm On Nov 08, 2014 |
Ovamboland:Sir, don't be childish! We are talking of BH(a religious based group) not MEND. If you wouldn't forget, OBJ never won MEND. It took amnesty(after GEJ and some ND elders intervene) to stop MEND. However, unlike BH, MEND focuses on the economic manpower of the nation(OIL). How many times did you hear of suicide bombing during ND militancy? BH is a very different issue as it is a religious based group(fighting to have 72 virgins). About achievements under OBJ? That is a discussion for another day(possibly next year). Bottom line: BH can only be won when there is relatively an increase in the number of educated youths in the north. You may crush them today, but expect more tomorrow. |

Lordlexyy:Are u using his rule as a military man as a yardstick to compare in a civilian administration. In the military where it is obey the last other, nothing like senators and house members saying no to your command. He should have served in an office as a civilian so we can tell how competent he is. He must not be president to prove it. |

Yet they accommodate people from PDP and forgive their sins, it means they don't stand for anything . All they are after is power at any cost. 1 Like |

EldaTimba: Oga stop defending failure and incompetence, there is ongoing muslim insurgency in Philippines and on-going christian insurgency in Uganda, yet these countries not making huge money from oil like Nigeria and are containing the insurgents and posting good economic growth data despite. And thank you for acknowledging that OBJ did not solve insurgency in the Niger Delta, and with cut in oil output he was able to clear debts, grow foreign reserves and start 10 power plants of which some turbines he ordered were abandoned at the ports by Yar'adua/Jonathan government. Hardly would you hear OBJ government saying he failed because of MEND activities, please you all need to grow up. 1 Like |

Staying with PDP means sticking with the source of horrible politicians in Nigeria |

Ovamboland:Don't act smart! In Philippine and uganda, do you hear of SUCIDE bombing? This is the issue I have with you guys. You compare militancy to BH insurgency. About OBJ, he cleared debt but he left his office with $3 billion debt(FACT). about power, how much did OBJ spend on Power? You guys talk of foreign reserve as if we don't know about foreign reserve. What is a foreign reserve even meant for? I think you will be bold enough to answer. 1 Like |

olapluto: My broda, it is not as easy as you think. Nigeria is highly inflammable at the moment, you have to be very careful when dealing with the insecurity issue so that it does not turn from a war against Islamic extremists to a religious war. That someone says this people is a sponsor is not enough evidence to put the person behind bars, you need evidence of sponsorship . The foot soldiers of boko haram who are caught most times don't know who the main sponsors are. If Bokoharam was not religious, Nigeria would have flushed them out since. Now you have Boko haram which is a combination of politics and Religion. These people have the sympathy of some northerners, either because of religious affiliation or based on politics (those who believe power must return to the north). These sympathizers are also in the army and our security agencies. Our military is compromised and there is nothing any president can do about it. Do you first start killing your soldiers to flush out the sympathizers or before going to fight the enemy . The insecurity situation in Nigeria is greater than you think. A Group of Kidnappers and armed robbers (OSISI KA NKWU)came up in ABA kidnapping people and terrorizing the people. They had no religious affiliation, so there were no sympathizers. How long did it take the military to flush them out ? A very short time. The greatest enemy to fight is the one within. Dont you see how our soldiers do well on peace keeping outside nigeria and cant do well in Nigeria ? Thats because boko haram is both political and religious. Like i said earlier, the only solution the northern presidential candidates of the APC will offer to end the insurgency will be to implement full sharia in the northern states and sacrifice the freedom of the non-muslims in those states. That is why APC cannot field a Norther christian as presidential candidate. Even if you bring OBAMA and the whole US army to come and take over Nigeria, they cant put an end to boko haram because the enemy is within. The US are united and saw the act of terror in 9/11 as an attack on the enter nation. They spoke with one voice and fought to end it. But in Nigeria the reverse is the case, when the Federal Govt went hard on Boko haram initially, the northern elders including buhari said the govt should stop killing their youths. Claiming that the should be treated like the Niger delta militants. U see the mentality of Nigerians, this is totally different from the US . So don't expect GEJ to perform a miracle and end insurgency over night in a divided country . |
