It's not necessary ur memory has to be partitioned. I use a samsung note 3 with 32gig and its not partitioned.

I know, but 5.5 screen is a no go area for me I just don't like it moreover I can cope with the 1900mah battery because I have a steady power supply (not NEPA Of course).
