Emmandus: The problem with short-term recommendations is that they may not be there to tell you when to sell. It's better you decide and own the risk for yourself. I hope you're on an online trading system sha. 1 Like |

Josh121: Maybe their security certificate has really expired as reported by your browser. This is a common thing. No big deal, except you don't want to trade. They should resolve it soon. |

Market showing signs of recovery. Or is it too early? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Elai147: 10:54am On Nov 10, 2014 |
Josh121: Is this your first time of seeing this on the internet? Perhaps, the certificate just expired today or yesterday and so the connection should still be as secured as before. You only need to worry when a certificate has long expired, for example, for the past one year. A websites expert can explain better to you. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Josh121(m): 11:01am On Nov 10, 2014 |
Elai147: Bro am an internet security expert , so i know what am talking about , it easy for someone to attack them like it is now , you info can be stolen or your stocks can be sold your password can easily be captured, since no one can withdraw to another account expect the account you gave them when you open your account . |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Charlesnerd: 11:02am On Nov 10, 2014 |
Josh121: Well, like someone has said, their certificate probably expired and has not been renewed, hence the prompt about the site being unsecure and untrusted. Believe me,there isn't much cause to panic. Majority of the sites you visit on a daily basis are not secured, some broking firms among the top 10 still run their portal on http and not ssl but no one has heard of a hack of their trading systems. That is not to say you shouldn't escalate the issue to Morgan, but its not enough to stop you from logging in to place your buy or sell mandates. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Elai147: 11:28am On Nov 10, 2014 |
Josh121: I understand the risk. But as an expert, you should know that the first thing to do is to contact the owner of the website to know exactly why your browser is reporting such message since there could be other technical reasons for such websites warning. Did you contact Morgan and what did they say? If you trust the website, logging in for a day will not cause the World to end na. As you mentioned, since you can only withdraw to the bank account that you registered with, why worry for just 24 hours? |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Josh121(m): 11:40am On Nov 10, 2014 |
Elai147: Boss you dont really understand the risk behind your identity been stolen online , there is no other technical reason than the fact that their certificate as expire and it makes the users of the site to be at risk with their information , attacks dont have to wait for 24hrs , hackers search for vulnerability every second . And talking about causing the world to end, what will happen if your password as been change your email change and you can gain access to your account for 24hrs ? all am trying to say is for them to always do some checks , this can cause alot of problem which you cant face |

The market is deeply in the oversold region, peeps buying right now might not care whether they are buying at the lowest possible price or not. All they care is that they are buying devalued assets at attractive prices. A stock by stock evaluation would show that some stocks were beaten more than the others so its not out of place to see Dangote sugar or UBA open with a 9% gain. 3 Likes |
