What has the word humility got to do with the fact that the ceo wants verification? I'm not trying to castigate you dear, but the truth is until some of us attain top leadership positions; we'll always give bias opinions.

If at all something goes wrong, who would receive the largest portion of the blame?

As you can see from the front page; the 'clever' DUDE simply said "chair cover's mom"

Seun must have witnessed/experienced and passed through difficult situations. I really do not blame him.
if this is all you want to focus on, feel free to continue.

[size=16pt]ATTENTION EVERYONE

I hope you all have it borne in mind that the purpose of putting this thread on front page was to help a fellow nairaland and not to have a battle of egos.

The great news is that there still are other social networks probably 1000 times bigger and more dominant where we can still spread the word to assist a fellow human being instead of fighting over trivial issues and nursing each others little egos.

I would advice all of you to keep focus on the main purpose which is saving another human being's life.

We have twitter, facebook, instagram that has billions of members. Let's not limit ourselves to the "1 million" members on this forum. Thank you

Inasmuch. As people receive healing in church.. There are also a number of people that are Sent home from prayer camps to die .. Back then I had a problem.. And I was hoping on God.. From this place to that place.. Till the situation became unbearable. In the Long run I still went for a surgery and am alive today.. At least the experience has shape the way I see things and I thank God for that.

Well. Different strokes for different folks

Na wa o! these are the things we keep shouting about. Nigerian medical care has a long way to go. I just got off the phone with DJDOLAs elder brother and he said they are at the abeokuta hospital and are "waiting for their turn" and " their turn might be by 6pm". An emergency being made to wait for 2 whole hours? He did say the OP has been sedated and is now sleeping.

Na siddon look I dey. First impression they say matters. A proper medical set up would wisk the OP straight into ICU and not even sedated yet because already he is having difficulty breathing and is takibg shallow breaths. This is just a big mess.

Yes Illigunbaba, donation is still ongoing as there is a planB on board. He is presently at a private hospital in Abeokuta. Thats the most I know now, but by evening, we should have something worthwhile as update. You are the BOMB. Thank you

As long as there is still the need...I will still be available....just mention me if there is any further update.

Thanks for your immense support again.

Most likely he has cirrhosis of the liver, going by what the LUTH doctor gave as differential diagnosis
Cirrhosis is a chronic condition where normal liver cells are replaced by scar tissue due to destruction of normal cells
The liver performs hundreds of functions and they become compromised
The two main causes or cirrhosis are chronic hepatitis B and chronic alcoholism
There are other causes too
But for a young man like him hepatitis B may be the culprit.( just guessing)
It takes a very long time to get to this stage it's a gradual process that gets worse over time
By the time you see a patient with the swollen tummy and other classic signs like swollen feet, jaundice etc it has reached a state of no return
The liver is completely damaged irreversibly and as time goes by other complications ensue especially kidney failure which is a big killer for the patients
Toxins build up in the body ,travel to the brain, patient gets encephalopathy which starts as confusion and progresses to coma and death
Many patients with cirrhosis end up with liver cancer too
The only treatment that can save him is a liver transplant if he is a candidate.

I am very afraid for him

Thanks for this info ma

I sincerely hope and pray the illness is one money can cure.

If money is the only thing he needs, I believe if we extend awareness to the general public through media houses and politicians, something good will come up; but these groups will hardly respond to such issue without a solid follow-up from those with connections.

I'm trying to relate this issue with OJB's

My sister the whole thing is just terribly frustrating. Nigeria and her medical institutions are like poultries and dog kernels. Being run in a zig zag and ramshackle manner. No proper healthcare, no equipments, nothing. How can an obvious emergency be made to wait for 2hrs and while waiting, sedating someone whom even while awake is having difficulty breathing. Was he placed on a ventilator while being sedated? NO! I tire abeg

You did not believe! It's as simple as ABC
I am sure when they were taking you from place to place you were just looking at them and saying within you that instead of this people to take me to hospital they're jumping from one place to another

I applaud the efforts of everyone
Inasmuch as we hope for perfect and permanent restoration, I hope the people in charge have put into consideration that in medicine it is always 50/50 chance, not saying/insinuating anything
I hope the most extreme case and the most plausible case have been considered
Let's say he is eventually flown abroad and after all diagnoses and prognosis he needs a transplant of an organ that is not readily available, I'm assuming the cost of staying in an ICU and the equipments/machines have been considered.

To whom who asked the question
Church or hospital?(paraphrased)

I would choose church, why? Because I just need:
1. Faith, just a little faith
2. Seek out the audience of reputable/genuine man of God
3. Half/quarter of a million, since you can't go to an elder emptyhanded, talkless of God.
And I'll get to the root of everything and I'll get healed or I'll be told what to do to get healed; a healing I'm sure of!
But I'll need to stay true to Christ!!!
++ other benefits.

Shikena!!!

IMO!

Ignorance is a serious disease nd religion is the world's foremost manipulation tool!
Because the church was unable to heal him, you say his faith is insufficient...that's mind game to stay relevant.

Seeking for medical attention nd healng in places like churches have caused more medical complications, disabilities nd death than anyone can envisage.
I know of a woman who had breast cancer that was detected at a very early stage. She was told to come for surgery to remove the mass but kept rejecting the surgery and the cancer in the name of God and instead went to a prayer house for healing nd deliverance nd the sort and was declared free and disease free.

She returned back home living a normal nd "healthy" life for months .....until the sixth month when she came down ill with metastatic breast cancer (the cancer has grown underneath and spread to other body parts) which no surgery in any part of the world can cure. This woman died a preventable death and so have countless others.

Knowledge is bliss, common sense can be lifesaving, visit good hospitals for your health problems.

This is a time to be worrying about the OP's well-being not experimenting one's powers and authority at the expense of another person's life

Gimme a sec let me get the name of the hospital.

#Update:

AWOJOBI ERUWA is the name of the hospital @Muyiwah666

Thank you,
First that clinic is NOT in Abeokuta,
Eruwa is a town in Oyo State though there is a route to the town from Abeokuta,Ogun State.just google it.
Secondly,I am an advocate of herbal medcine, but there is a limit herbs CAN do in the advance stage of any disease...have a feeling the doctor should know this and refer the guy as soon as possible ( the herbal home is run by a real medical doctor)

If you know what it is, you'll be able to keep it perfectly under control. If you don't know what it is, then you may unknowingly aggravate it.
