Hello there, can anyone help me on the step to remove this shortcut virus which converts all my folders to a shortcut in my memory card or flash drives whenever I connect it to my laptop PC. I really need Tested and Trusted method.


PS: I don search net tire. The CMD format only release the folder temporary but goes back to shortcut format once I refresh the folder.

You having some worms in ur pc...In this case, simply download microsoft security essential from Micrsoft website, It's just 10MB or so, one time, everything will be removed when scanned wih it..

This recovers your folders, you can use a good anti-virus program to remove the virus later

I have tried this method but it doesn't solve the virus issue. I hav Avast currently running on my system. E never remove the virus as weneva I plug my flashdrive, it shows again.

This method only recovers your valuable files...install a good anti-virus I will suggest downloading avast (not those ones that expire 2100AD) install, register and update it.

Someone mentioned Microsoft security essential, I remember when I had same problem, I did research till I found that it, I downloaded it but it seems my infection was too much that the virus was in my core. It turned off all my anti-virus softwares and refused installing new ones. Had to do a complete system format to out of the box

Smadav antivirus is the Best!..I once had this issue and SMADAV cured it all.....Trust me!!!...SMADAV..
