SANDF troops master musketry already. Just look
at those pics that @Thiza had just posted and show me a single soldier who did not handle his firearm correctly. On the contrary, you should take a closer look at how the British, American and Russians carry their rifles, it is just the same as the way SANDF soldiers carry them. I trained with a lot of them and I know what I am talking about. the butt of the rifle is made to be pressed against the shoulder by manufacturers and hand should come to the hand grip and not on the magazine since it can unlock the magazine from the rifle.

However, it is not a secret that many soldiers in sub-saharan militaries cannot handle their rifles correctly. I know that from the start it hurts your shoulder due to recoil and sometimes can dislocate it, especially with a pump gun but with a practise your shoulder will get used to it and will become part of you. My point is that your soldiers cannot handle their AK47 correctly.

Nigeria is no difference as far as handling of rifles is concerned. Their handling of rifles is the same as that of other sub-saharan countries and rebels. That was the same way former MK militants which were an ANC military wing used to handle their rifle. Many of them also learnt how to handle rifles correctly within the ranks of SANDF.

Whoever will rank Nigerian military to be the best would be from their peacekeeping perspective. Nigerian military personnel are not the best in independent solid structures and they were never tested in many years in that regard. Peacekeeping missions hardly sees hard core battle beside the one that was imposed recently in DRC. I have been through those deployments for some time, including in the eastern DRC.
