CAR which is thousands of kilometres away from SA has witnessed that SANDF with only limited weapons can still hold on to their ground without fear. The people of CAR witnessed fire they never saw before. Our comrades in arms with only limited firepower which was imposed on them by the French because their mission was not peacekeeping but to train the national defence by offering them military skills, could by no doubts suppress the insurgents to the level of raising a white flag in a bid of negotiating for cease fire. The insurgents could be hit from far by MGLs and many of them gave up their ghosts screaming hard for their mothers. The only thing that you could hear was a cry from a young boy who ran out of ammunition because rebels could only afford to give them single magazine loaded with a mere 5-6 rounds.

I know you will ask me about equipments left behind, not even weapons but vehicles which were used for the mission. The government of SA could not bother to leave such equipment behind because everything that was in there was already bargained for and would have been left behind even after the mission was completed. The equipment were already removed from SANDF inventory and so we had nothing to lose. The only objects that were to be airlifted back to the country after the parliament took that decision were military personnel and their weapons. All tents, geckos et al were to be left behind in accordance with what the parliament has resolved.

Nigerian army was attacked by Liberian rebels who out-numbered us, we did not withdraw, we did not wait for UN or AU approval, Nigeria sent reinforcements and fought many years war until we saved our fellow black brothers by sacrifice of battalions of Nigerian blood.

South Africa failed to do in C.A.R Republic what Nigeria did in Liberia

indeed,i do not support him too per se,but GEJ is too soft....too weak,he isnt a wartime president, though he has definitely done a fantastic{miraculous even} job with the economy and infracstructure but he is definitely no buhari,he doesnt have the brutality buhari possess,he lacks military vibe.if there was another strong candidate{preferably a balance of the two} ,then i would have supported him,but as it is,only buhari has the military capacity, and ruthlessness.the only other alternative i see is for GEJ to appoint a more capable COAS{like ihejerika},then i would be good with him.

Truly, the President has done a good job with the economy and infrastructure, the insurgency is a problem, but the fact is, the military would overcome, it's just a matter of time.

My problem has always been the over-politicisation of the insurgency by the presidency and the opposition. It has meant decisive action has been slow in coming. I do strongly believe though, CDS Alex Badeh and the NSA should be fired. The COAS understands there's a problem, which is very important, he's an Infantry man, and still needs time to get his policy running.

Bihari is however more militant than your sissy Jonathan. That impressive growth rate of economy will be in danger if you do not address your security issues in no time.

The sissy Jonathan who continues to bully Zuma....... okay.

So, in 2015, you expect people to chose a coup-plotter over a democrat as their leader?

The Insurgency in the N.E is currently been decisively tackled.

Whoever claims that Nigerian military has operational anti-tank missile must be a fraudster because they could have tested it on BHs tanks. People, Nigeria is now desperate more than ever and they are in the position to use everything in their inventory to realize victory against BH. We want to see those anti-tank weapons being used if they are operational

However, do not be that sure. War always has casualties on both sides. Jihad is not something that can be defeated easily since it is regarded as war that is condoned by Allah by those who support it. It is regarded as cancer that is spreading like wild fire.

Expensive Swingfire missiles on Boko Haram's APCs ?

How many missiles did UN forces use in Congo DRC on M23 rebels?

A waste, only one single shot from any of Nigerian army Sagaie , Scorpion, or Vickers will tear any Boko APC or T-55 tank into pieces.

Ordinary hand held RPG with HEAT ordnance will waste Boko APCs, Nigeria has thousands of RPGs.

Maybe South African army will be foolish enough to waste Ingwe missile on an gun armed rebel APC grin grin

UN never used missiles because there were none. I don't think Nigeria would have mind to use just a single anti-tank missile against BH if they had any operational missile just to prove a point. To my understanding, Nigeria does not have any operational anti-tank missile. There is no way of taking this argument further since they have failed in every aspect just to utilise a single anti-tank missile. BH has proved on different occasions to be in possession of tanks to which the anti-tank weapon has been specially developed for.

Egypt more powerfull than the British Army?

O

MY

GOD

You have proceeded to full mental impairment

Egypt about 1.5 million soldiers, about 30,000 tanks, artillery, APC, IFV, missile launchers etc

Britain about 150 thousand soldiers, about 6,000 tanks, artillery, APC, IFV, missile launchers.

You only imagine a nation is powerful because of it's name. Egypt has fought bigger modern wars against more powerful enemies than Britain has done in modern times. Britain hides many times under USA/NATO joint forces.

Even Nigeria has more artillery than Britain today, not to then mention Egypt. All Britian uses to bully people is nuclear weapons and NATO defense pact. India will defeat Britain on land, sea, and air.

Egypt will beat the British on land

Your comments are 99% voodoo logic and only 1% fact if at all there is any fact in your posts

You don't need $50,000 missiles to kill a tank when $1,000 HEAT shell from small Sagaie or Scorpion will do the job.

Reason why SANDF-SAN does not want to use expensive Exocet against enemy gunboat, they are thinking of cheaper options, read defenseweb

Why would the Ratel ZT3 fire all three at once?

What will happen is:

1. Ratel ZT3's fire first slavoe of Ingwe from a distance of 5km
2. Nigerian Armour cannot detect Ingwe because lol no laser warning
3. Numerous Nigerian tanks explode as though they were made from pure explodium
4. Surviving Nigerian tanks deploy smoke - because Nigeria has no weapon that can reach the Ingwe's which are 5km away
5. Smoke clears - Nigeria prepares to engage the ZT3's... but they are no where to be seen (what is shoot and scoot?)
6. While scanning for the ZT3's andother batch of Nigerian vehicals explode...

This happens two more times, once ZT3's have expended all their ammunition... they pull back to reload in safety.

That is battlefield tactics.

Conclusion: Ingwe > Swingfire
Sub Conclusion: SANDF Armor > Nigerian Armor

Mumu battlefield tactics, more like Policemen vs Armed Robbers on your street
grin

You failed woefully because you forgot that if the SANDF Ratel can see the Nigerian army Swingfire launcher, the Nigerian too can see him, so we are both sides are alert and ready for a fight. Then you launch your Ingwe and the Nigerian sees the flashing light of the missile burning booster and the long trail of exhaust smoke exposing the Ingwe missile to public eye-view of everybody. The Swingfire man launches defensive smoke immediately.

You South Africans fight military wars like Policemen chasing robbers in Soweto, this Patches fool thinks Ingwe is targeting some poor old men blind beggars on the street who cannot see a whole armoured vehicle grin

Nigeria has 50 Palmaria with 1,500 HE shells for direct fire mode with the 155mm gun having 24km range and special 8 times target image magnification/enlargement periscope electronic sight to target all Your 50 Ingwe Ratels long time before they come close to Nigerian lines, your Ingwe 5km range is up against a high calibre Palmaria gun with 24km range !

SANDF is dead before they can fire one missile.

You don't know how many different weapons Nigeria can use at will? ALL SANDF Ratels are suya roasted meat before us

So now you want to include artillery?

Moving the goalposts already?

And no, Cuban and Angolan T55s did not see the ZT3 that killed them

And if you deploy smoke then you cannot advance, or else you lose your smoke cover and are a nice target for ingwe

Deploy smoke and then you get blasted by G5s and G6's from 39km away- safe from your artillery. They can also hit moving targets, and the vulture drone will not be deceived by smoke.

Also, SPGs are terrible tank destroyers.

Can I now include Rooikat, Gripen, rooivalk, olifants, Milans, Valkyrie, Hawks et al?
