egift:GEJ have come to stay. Send the message clear to your old and expired GMB. You and your ilks planned dissuading GEJ from declaring via killing of innocent children through your Bokoharam but it did not stop him. Whether GEJ read Zoology or not is immaterial in this matter; the fact still remains t hat there is no vacancy in ASO ROCK. Corruption did not start with GEJ and was present when your old and expired presidential candidate GMB was in power. You guys should stop gambling with innocent lives just to discredit GEJ. It's funny how people keep accusing USA of wanting to invade Nigeria. For what? To what benefit? I see more than a good reason why USA shouldn't even sell a rusty pistol to Nigeria if y'all don't. It's election time and if anything goes wrong and those weapons fall into the wrong hands what would be the fate of Nigeria? Why would America sell weapons to Nigeria after y'all have finished condemning the country and accusing them of sponsoring terrorism? Let me stop here. They did this to show Nigeria that they don't want our money, we should deal with ourselves. |

I am of the view that we are not really addressing the issue but rather allowing our emotions come between our reasoning. The issue is that the US has raised concerns about human rights abuses meted out on suspected boko haram insurgents as seen in some gruesome videos published on the internet like the one soldiers were beheading victims and throwing them into hand dug graves. Now the US which in their entirety is a nation governed by laws and have clear rules of engagement when it comes to war fare has said that that laws do not permit them to sell arms to nations found to have falling short of their laws, to me this crystal clear. So what Nigeria should do is to prosecute those found to have gone against their rules and bring them to book and let the whole world see that we are making efforts in curbing this excesses of our boys in uniform and then and only then would be able to have a justifiable case. Or better still meet with other western countries like Russia, China, England (our supposed colonial masters) and purchase arms from them. 1 Like |

If a dog that use to wag its tail when its sights, you start barking at your sight, then there is every reason to be afraid. This sudden change in America's attitude to Nigeria is very suspicious. |

Nigerdeltaboi: What have we been saying for long. We should have been looking east since the civil war ended but a serious lack of vision and purpose has kept us 'babyfied'. Now mommy is saying no more free meals and free laundry, go get a place to stay and settle down. I don't blame them. We are simply irresponsible. Surely a country aspiring to be within the top 20 economic powers in 6 years time should be able to forge spears and shields. America is obviously jealous and threatened by our prospects but what they see in us we obviously don't see in ourselves. 1 Like |

Why will US sell Lethal and Sophisticated Arms to a country whose military always misplace her weapons to BH they are fighting. US is only being careful cause the whole world knows Nigeria Government is a Sham, forgiving me for saying it buh it's a fact. Imagine US selling stuff like drones, F-5 fighter Jets and powerful machine guns to Nigeria and BH got hold of it and before you know other Terrorist organization like ISIS and Taliban getting it from BH. The problem this country has is so big that every world power nation is being careful to sell arms to Nigeria, before Nigeria becomes a strong place where terrorists around the world comes to relax. The question any reasonable Nigerian should be asking is what is really wrong with the Nigeria Military? Are they trying to hand over this country to Islam indirectly? |

fitzmayowa: Russia, in spite of their braggadaccio knows when not to meddle with America's interest, same goes for China. You think South Africa just woke up one morning to meddle with Nigeria's arms deal? Nope. They were ordered to do so. Our best bet for now is to flood the occupied territory with all of our arsenal, outnumber them and decisively deal a fatal blow to the group 1 Like |

This blame shifting by govt. Is absurd because as at when Mubi was taken over the equipment in its barrack according to millitary source is enough to sustain the BH for a year! Again Shekau boasts the other time that he started with knife but now he has 20 of Nigeria military APC,so with Nigeria soldiers fleeing from war front and surrendering their weapons to the insurgents;I do not think it is lack of hardware that is escalating the war but lack of morale, motivation and corruption in the military. |

Is this "ROGUE GOVERNMENT" not tired of excuses? and blaming everyone but themselves for their crass incompetence? where did you buy the weapons with The trillions you ve claimed to spend on weapons over 4 years? This "JOKE " of a government just wants to give a legitimate face to the whole Southafrican fiasco. |
