Is this the reason why the military has started releasing detainees? And their pet media houses were praising their generosity and kindness. I'm more disgusted with Nigeria than I've ever been in my life. |

Nawa ooo! We are not just and embarrasment to ourselves, we are now laffing stock in international community. What a shame. What a disgrace, what an embarrassment to the one Time Giant Of Africa.. First I read CNN banned Political adverts from Nigeria, as if that was not enough, now its more international media reporting nigerian situation to Nigerians, What a shame mehn! I feel really sad. These people know what is happening in our country more than we think they know, yet even we in the country just take it with a pinch of salt. Nigeria is a good child that goes bad when the dad is not around. Nigerians need focused and Disciplined Leadership for other Nigerian to take que from, so much chaos, so much disorder, so much corruption, rowdiness, too much randomness, no due-process whatsoever, no fair even playing fields, no form of National integration and identification whatsoever. Just a country for anything and anybody and anyhow. Nigerians are exceptional people. Like real Wonderful people.. Like Amazing People. America should be careful not to sell arms to the wrong set of people ooo, because in nigeria as it stands today, there are lots of arms in the hands of plenty wrong people. Or how else can we explain possession of superior arms by Boko haram and military is not even ashamed to admit it. It tells us, something is fundamentally wrong. If nigeria want to be proliferating in arms, then it doesn't augur well for our country Nigeria. When all u keep hearing is arms deal, it means Nigeria is heading to become the next "Libya" in Africa. The question is, who is fighting who? Why and for what reasons are we killing ourselves? Until some fundamental questions are answered truthfully, this country is not even yet on the road to redemption. Sometimes I wonder, how have we fallen this low, the next thing I see is we have fallen lower. How low can we accept to fall collectively as a people. Until we fall lowest and hit Rock bottom, we can never bounce back and start rising. We as a people must determine our lowest, like, Humanity should never be degraded beyound this such limits. Until when our shared humanity is more important to us than what seperates us in, Religion, Tribe and tongues, proper social stratification, due-process, laid down orders and procedures are followed, until we adopt unism and oneness, togetherness, until we embrace each other, we can't be One! Which leads me to ask! Has Nigerians ever been One? I don't think there ever was a time after Independence that Nigeria was One Country! Maybe that was immediately after the Independence, people were happy they were finally independent from the colonial masters and agreed to live as one. I argue that, after receiving independence from the white, we found out our differences and we needed to have gotten a 2nd independence from ourselves.. I think that, long time ago, since the civil war, if u ask my opinion, there was no just reason for the civil war.. Let The Biafra Nation Govern themselves. Let the Arewa Nation Govern themselves, Let the Oduduwa People be for themselves.. That way, there would be healthy and brotherly competition, there would be healthy rivalry and some form of inter regional co-operation. Right now as a nation, we are not coperating within ourselves, our competition is unhealthy, as a matter of fact, there is "Hate". Maybe the hausa man hates the igbo man of a truth? Who knows? We do not appreciate our Diversity. Until we appreciate our diversity, we can never even draw strength from any form of division. We are a divided people and yet we say our strength is from our Diversity! I'm sorry Nigeria isn't even a Nation. Our Nationhood is just from our independence from the whites, we were not even prepared for Independence, At independence somebody just rushed painted Green white Green, no creativity whatsoever in it, Do you know how Americans Value the American Flag? Do you know how much Respect and Power is behind That American Flag? Do you know the stories, the struggles and the travails? Nigerians are like lucky spoilt kids. U have all the vegetation, all the mineral resources, all the Crude, all the everything, just name it, but where is the Country? Even Abroad, Nigerian Doctors break records. Nigerian Students Smash CGPA's, Nigerian scientist does this and does that, But where is the Country Nigeria? People must stand to defend this country. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

The problem is that the Govt is being conscious not to upset Washington by taking the path Egypt took when US stopped selling arms to them by going to buy from Russia who are in conflict currently with the West and with the elections coming, they West can easily sabotage the country using our religious divide and arming Boko Haram with more sophisticated weapons as they have done in many middle east countries where Mullahs are infiltrated to groom terrorists and suicide bombers for US interests through the CIA and Mossad. Israel gets the biggest supply of weapons from US and have never being accused of Human Rights violation even when they drop bombs on UN schools in Gaza killing hundreds of children. US is not an ally, they dont want Nigeria to advance. Libya under Gaddafi became the country in Africa with the highest standard of living better than most EU countries which was seen as an abnormally by the West who went in there, armed jihadists, killed the man and left Libya in total chaos now. Lets think inward about how to be self reliant on some areas. 2 Likes |

DRealGeesam:From the 1960s to the 1980s, South Africa pursued research into weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons. Six nuclear weapons were assembled. Before the anticipated changeover to a majority-elected African National Congress government in the 1990s, the South African government dismantled all of its nuclear weapons, the first nation in the world which voluntarily gave up all nuclear arms it had developed itself. The last time I check South Africa independence was in 1994 and pls don't remind me of the apartheid history where minority white where in control and the real South Africans had no right then. My point is, presently South Africa do not have nuclear weapons as you claimed in your first post. Going into history, I agree with your other post but it is also misleading , since we know South Africa gained independence in 1994. Those nuclear research was done and the weapon assembled b4 1990. My point is, if Britain decide to build nuclear weapon in 1920 in Nigeria and dismantle it before 1960, can we claim that Nigeria has developed nuclear weapons? Pls take note of the bolded. I understand your point but your information was misleading |

DRealGeesam: Nigerian leaders lack strategic long term vision. Yet, we still have people supporting the same fools to be re-elected. Oya, America has humiliated Nigeria and will continue to do so in the future. See how we are shaking in our boots because of oil price decline. America has started drilling oil. America can sell to whomever they want to. We can buy weapons from whomever we want. We better wake up and start acting like the "giant of Africa." By the way what kind of weapons are they trying to buy that they don't already have? If it is intercontinental ballistic missiles, that's ok, but if it's small arms then the government should be ashamed for not having stok piles ready for war. 1 Like |

I know in their hearts they are laughing and jubilating.Well one thing I know, is that BH will definitely be conquered and their predictions won't come to pass in Nigeria rather, their prediction will materialize on their own country when they least expected. As for our government, they should buy from Russia and China,am quite sure they won't hesitate to sell. |

The ones they had to apologize to a pay a negligible sum of 100k? I cannot understand you people. So many posts I read here, I have to facepalm really hard. Even with 100% hard evidence that many innocent people are being picked up and treated cruelly in the attempt to purge Boko Haram, you still insist nothing wrong is going on. Smh 1 Like |

bunmioguns:America can not be more concerned about u and ur country than u and I. For instance, look at what is happening in the middle east! A lot of civilian casualty from isreali bomb shell yet,the holy almighty america keep selling arms to them. But in nigeria's case, its different!! Listen, until we as Nigerians and africans see this US government for who they truly are,we'll always remain to be deceived! They pretend they care yet in their closet, they don't. I remember desmond tutu once said that when the white man came to us,they said "let's pray!".Before then,we had our land they had the bible, but, after the prayers,we had the bible, they had our land. Don't ever think that US care about the Nigerian citizenry,if they really care, they would v sold those weapons to our military. The only thing they enjoy doing is to be quick to condemn attack by BH on media but in their closet, they are laughing n probably saying"all is going according to plan". But one thing I know is, they will plan and their plan won't work against us. |

Nigerian leaders are not serious about bringing this insurgency matter to closure. If I try to purchase arms from America and from areas within their sphere of influence to no avail then you should just pivot to the East. SIMPLE! China and Russia, the latter especially will be delighted to sell arms to you. Forget that bull crap talk about human rights abuses. Those guys are just funny. They will be happy to see a Nigeria engulfed by the inferno of insurgency and anarchy so that they can step in at the last mminute and act like they saved the day, set up in Nigeria like they did in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places and steal our oil and all... But thats none of my business. |

lucianohase: Let me understand you. You're saying you read my post ( that was written in crystal clear English) and this is what you understand from it? Wow. While you struggle to come up with an answer, I'd like to inform you that the United States is Not the only developed country in the world. Shocked? Most of our attack helicopters come from Russia or ex-Sov bloc countries. Our new wave of fighter jets were bought from China just a few years back, and we have a fairly robust pilot training scheme with China. Chinese and Russian tanks and APCs are every bit as capable as the kind of hardware the U.S. would have sold to us. So basically, using the U.S. as an excuse is just plain foolishness, madness and Imbecility when China and Russia would happily sell us whatever hardware we want. Please read this carefully before responding. Thanks. |

/ The same USA that refused to sell Zmapp to Nigeria to fight Ebola. What happened to Ebola thereafter? Nigeria had to improvise and searched inwards to defeat Ebola. Nigeria is a Sovereign nation and not the 51st State of US. If USA wants a 51st state, it will not be a freaking n.i.g.g.a nation. Apparently Nigerian leaders do not understand what "ally" and "friendship" mean in diplomatic term. So Mr. Adefuye..STFU and talk to your alcoholic President to look inwards.
