Hello people we have been deliberating outside this thread on a way forward and I think we have arrived at a decision.

1) we need to find out how much is available from the initial donations made

2) He needs to be placed on dialysis for now in a good medical facility

3) Passports need to be gotten if the OP does not have any yet (this will be found out). 1 for the OP and one for who would accompany him

4) Cost of flight and medicals in total

5) All calls to the OP must stop as only marcjane and caracta can speak to him or his family member

6) Enquiries have already started per a reputable hospital outside Nigeria to move him to

7) A fresh account set up which we can monitor. If TEHN cannot handle it then we look for another option. donated funds will go here for now until the preparations for flying out is completed then the money can be released to the family.

8 ) Finally we need to push the first donation session behind us and start afresh in ernest. This mountain is not insurmountable. in fact it looks more like a plain when we join hands to achieve this. Selflesness and love is the key. what is money compared to life? Seun as the owner of NL ur help and generosity is being appealed to at this point. STICKY THIS THREAD TO THE NUMBER 1 SPOT ON THE FRONT PAGE. If this is the only contribution you can make God will bless you real good. Our resolve cannot and will not be broken. Jehovah must take this glory and we the blessing. There were doctors in the house who analyze the result from eruwa and few of us asked them to come up with way forward. Because patients report shouldnt be here, the went on wassap. See dia report up there nd please understand.

Please I think we all need to know which part of his organ needs a transplant. It's no longer getting interesting. Too many conflicting reports. Even at that, I commend those that have taken this case upon themselves @ caracta, babayosis, naijadehyia, marcjane et al. May God bless u all.

Babyosisi's report is clear enough. DJ certainly needs a liver transplant. He may also need a kidney transplant, because his kidneys have been affected by the damaged liver.

Check my previous posts before the team that went to eruwa came back with their findings and you may have an inkling why my tone suddenly changed.

The main issue now is just capital and nothing more,we need money,I mean a lot of money to get this done and with God,I know things would be fine and we come to this same forum to thank God we made it finally..in my own opinion,I think they should just get the acct opened and we start rolling donations in it,so as to not waste this little time we have for him,nairaland is a big family,and let's believe we can do this,yes we can...

I read you immediate previous post and it got me laughing,there is this proverb that's says "he who is down,fears no fall" I sit to be corrected.Dj is presently down at this time,he needs support,prayers,funds and care,please leave that "some one staying in his area can view the post" out of it.Do you know what it takes to go public and solicit for funds?at the back of your mind,anyone can think whatever so far I get what I am pleading for!!!!who so ever can say what they like,our main aim is getting him back on his feet healthy

Now what are the reasons for getting a fresh account open? (who manages/monitors it)
What happened to the existing accounts.
There are so many things begging for answers that's why I don't like the behind the scene show.
If there's a committee on ground already, they should state it and not jumping around

All this going back and forth won't help anyone, it's obvious Dj needs more money now than was planned before, time for us to start donating again than before and which account should this go into?

@young doctor since you are online, can you confirm which tests were carried out on DJ at the Eruwa hopspital. From what I have read here, he was only seen to yesterday, so I dont think that that many tests would have been run on him

If this is the case, then we need to look at moving him to a specialist dialysis unit ASAP. Any good hospital will also not solely rely on another hospitals tests anyway and they will still carry out their own tests.

we have talked enough and its now to take action. Every minute wasted is very crucial in this mans life

Today we must do the following . .

1. Get 3 teams together

Team A to deal with the Dialysis and Nigerian hospitals
Team B to deal with the process of flying him out of Nigeria
Team C to deal with fundraising

Team A & B needs a qualified doctor at least and several dedicated people who are prepared to do the leg work.
It will be better if Team A members are lagos based since its likely that DJ will be moved back to Lagos.
Each team needs a team leader and the leader will be responsible for regular updates.

2. Move DJ from Eruwa to a specialist hopspital

Team A to call St Nicholas/Reddington/Kidney unit advertised on the top of the page/Bowen Hospital and any other hospital mentioned here or reccomended and to speak to them and find out the following info

a. Do they do dialiysis?
b. Do they have beds?
c. The cost of each dialysis
d. Do they have an ambulance to pick DJ from Eruwa to their unit?
e. Are they able to assist in visa procurement/advise on how to get DJ out of the country for medical treatment

Once the team is created, I am happy to send a total of N5000 credit if any of the team members require some credit to ensure that these phone calls are made today ASAP. PM me your phone number and I will send credit directly to your phone.

If the chosen hopspital does not have an ambulance, then the team is to find out the cost and how DJ can be transported to the chosen specialist hospital

Please can these teams be set up this morning; certainly team A needs to be set up ASAP.

Team C will work with Team A and B to understand how much is required in total, how much is available now and how much is still required.

I nominate cramjones, busybody2, Gboliwe & Idowuogbo to be on Team C . . .as we need to get the ball rolling ASAP.

Now this is getting really annoying. What's with all this hide and seek? Everyone has been deliberating since yesterday and still no conclusion.

The problem I see now is that some people want their suggestions to be followed. Hope you all realise that DJ is laying there in eruwa helpless. He felt we could make a better decision for him but all is heading no where.

Almost everyone has been saying it since that they should move him to st Nicholas. At least since these are trusted private hospital, it's a good choice to make.

Again, since yesterday, the issue of opening an account has been raised Bt still, we aren't still making progress with regards to that.

There is no longer time for too much talk talk rather taking the necessary steps.

Please those in charge should be as open as they can cos even DJ who is in the middle of all these will not hide anything from us.
