If Naira is allowed to float and find its 'natural' level it will hit $200 before the elections. I hope oil prices recover a bit otherwise the CBN will be run out of town trying to support the naira. 4 Likes |

Whose fault? Our leaders who have wasted these past 9 years of high oil price to enrich their pockets without remembering the dooms day. My prayer is that we experience paradigm shift next year so that less focus will be on oil and subsidy stealing will end. 49 Likes 2 Shares |

Oil's crash continues to hurt Nigeria. Let's hope the CBN intervenes quickly. Since the start of November, we've lost against the dollar at an alarming pace. Our reserves clearly can't help. Other Measures have to be put in place clearly. 11 Likes |

Corruption is clearly a massive problem with this administration but it is difficult to re-engineer an addiction (to oil) in one or even two administrations. Fundamental restructuring of the economy away from over - dependence on oil should have started earnestly a long time ago. At least from OBJ's time. And it requires a well thought - out National Industrial Policy that survives from administration to administration. 17 Likes |

I think the fault is as a result of excess demand for dollars from importers and frm the economics point of view, when there is more import than export, there is unfavourable balance of payment, likewise the falling prices of oil too, it will get back to normal soonest, i.e Cbn pegging the dollars. 9 Likes |

There's no need wasting the reserves supporting the Naira. Allow the currency, find its true value. The implications are less today, than they were years back. Nigeria has a strong growing non oil export market, this will only help that sector. 5 Likes |

This isn't a surprise to me... We have been shouting that the economy is falling apart and some people interpret it to be hate. As patriotic people, we must salvage the economy. The PDP is a bad market, and it is worse since the last 5 years, Let's make the Change 77 Likes 2 Shares |

Economic dynamism, currencies rise and fall and this is mostly influenced by the strength of a nations exports. ( I may be wrong though) |
