electronically no one is anywhere near the US and NATO

Have you had the opportunity to asses all of them?

Same way the SU-30MKI messed up the F-15E in exercise red-flag.

They observed a fighter under-development, and still some how couldn't help themselves but write something negative about it.

Let go buy the basis that the J-31 is an F-35 clone, it's widely alleged the blue-print was downloaded/hacked from the U.S DoD.

It simply means the fighter would perform just as good as the F-35. This is the fact.

Besides, all the noise about copying, when NATO nations continually copy and spy on each other.

The chinese are the world's 4th largest defence exporter, and the world's 2nd largest defence spender.

The assessments of the reporter are again based on a pre- conceived notion.

henry it wont perform the same if it does not have the same powerplant

the chinese are using engines designed for the Mig-29

Also, China is one of the biggest defence spenders because it has the biggest army

It is one of the biggest sellers because it sells cheap sh1t.

None of their tech compares to what NATO has. They have no advantages in any feilds at all.

Dude, they havent even caught up to the F-22 yet. Russian PAK-FA is the nearest, and that is still a pipe dream.

Unless the Chinese jump 10 years worth of development, they will still be behind.

Turkey, a country with one of the best militaries in NATO.

so their military spending has nothing to do with the 1 million men they have in uniform? And also, you do realize that America spends 600 Billion on half as many men?

And yes, they are using the Mig-29 engine, this is an indisputable fact

And the Turks havent bought the HQ-9 yet, and the HQ-9 is cheap

But the key aspect of the Chinese bid was price, which was at least a billion dollars cheaper than the alternatives

Chinese J-31

This is a powerful fighter. I wonder how it stacks against the F-35 or the Rafale.

#excuse the derailment.

Interesting question, I think the F-35 and Rafale are way better, don't forget that the j-31 is still a prototype, and it was basically built on the blue prints on the F-35.

The j-31 is much more agile than J-20, I think its because of the "F-35 design it performs very well like the F-35 that's why it looks like its in the same class or maybe even, but I highly doubt that what's inside the J-20 in anywhere near what's inside th F-35

But you gotta hand it to them, the Chinese are really good at reproducing things, the way that thing moves, I honestly thought it was an F-35.

Why did the civilains not prevent Boko from entering Mubi in the first place?

It was joint army and local hunters that flushed Boko out of Mubi, it's a new type of COIN strategy Nigeria is evolving for the world to learn

A combined team of local hunters, civilian JTF and the Nigerian soldiers on Wednesday night launched a fierce battle against Boko Haram insurgents and recaptured Mubi and its environ, which had earlier fell into the hands of the sect.

Reports from Mubi also indicated that five Nigerian Armoured Personnel Carriers, seized by the dreaded Islamists in the area, were recovered when the insurgents fled the town.

A source in Mubi indicated that there were jubilation as people were seen trooping out to show solidarity with the local hunters and the civilian JTF.

No fewer than 100 Boko Haram members were said to have been either killed or injured by the hunters.

The source further disclosed that the 234 Army Battalion as well as other security formations in the area, which fell into the hands of the insurgents, had been recovered and the soldiers were seen trooping in and out of the barracks and taking strategic positions.

Our correspondent learnt that all the flags hoisted by the insurgents in some government quarters were destroyed and replaced by the Nigerian flags while the Emir’s palace converted to the sect’s “Madinatul Islam” has now been taken over by the Nigerian team.

Other sources said the development had given the people hope that the insurgents would be completely chased out of Mubi, Michika, and Madagali. All these council areas had fallen into the hands of insurgents.

Adamawa State Governor Bala James Ngillari said in Yola on Thursday that the insurgents had been flushed out of Mubi. He said the government thanked those who risked their lives to confront the insurgents.

“This is time for all of us to rejoice as the success recorded in the fight against Boko Haram insurgents is the handwork of God,” he said

It is now clear that the cowards in the name of Nigerian military has nothing to do with the recapturing of Mubi. Civilians risked their lives to save their town from the hands of insurgents. However, insurgents as they were pushed by militia have invaded other two towns in NE.

Civilians are now tired of lazy coward soldiers and now they are doing the job themselves without the inclusion of cowards.

Hence, different performance.

Hence, the observation that it requires afterburners to perform the most basic maneuvers.
