The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
will only consider 12 out of 27 local government councils
of Borno state during the forthcoming general elections
in 2015.
The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Borno
State , Professor Tukur Sa’ad said as issuance of the
permanent voter’s card (pvc) commences on 28th
November, 2014, the INEC will consider only 12 local
government councils which have relative peace in Borno
state.
Professor Sa’ad, who spoke Tuesday during a
sensitization visit to the Shehu of Borno’s Palace, said
the local councils identified for the exercise represents
50% of the total number of voters in the state.

The first bill sent to the legislators after Jonathan became full time president was bill about elongation of his term which was widely and roundly rejected. He sent this bill immediately after making his first international trip to Cameroon to visit Paul Biya. Since he was roundly rejected, he has unleashed Boko Haram on the people of Nigeria.

I expect Jonathan to get really desperate when he finally sees clearly that the odd is against him. I expect his desperation to create more chaos not only in the North, but around the country.

When the insurgents started gaining territory and the FG was quiet, I knew what they were trying to do. Yet, some nitwits would come here and tell us that the opposition party is the major sponsor of the sect, when we all know it'd do more harm to them than good. Very interesting indeed. How does one explain how the Nigerian millitary will loose 12 local govts to a handful rag tag terrorists who the president once claimed were faceless?

Just close to elections, the terrorists are expanding their coverage to states like Niger and Gombe.
