Good evening my sweet and wonderful family.. I hope we are all doing well? Candygosh, xcelsia, Christine, tollu, osyxel, obinoscopy, hephzi, odunharry, and the newbies (hope I didn't forget any name?).. Lol...

Okay I can't quote all posts but I hope to use this one stone to kill several birds.

Truth is, even when I come on nairaland, I get really scared and emotional opening this thread, probably I'm struggling to accept some things or whatever, but even as I have opened the thread today and I've read thrpugh , the show of love still makes tears roll down my cheeks. 2sexi's friend's case as well makes my heart beat so fast.. I just wish! I wish! I wish we never had such ailments as this *tears* it is well...... After all God says he wouldn't give us more than we can bear? #phew!

Like I told the family, we were to be at the hospital on Thursday, as we got there, the unionists were protesting and everywhere was locked! STRIKE!!!!! I wonder how long that is going to last? We ended up going back home. He told me he is having urine retention again? After the surgery Hmmm.. I'm so scared! The stress is much for him!

As for the hook-up, its a nice idea, but I plead to be excused, I'm running so many things now that I don't have a 'me' time. Shuttling to drop of my kids at school, attend to daddy (at least so my mum could get some rest) isn't as easy.

anyone in the house based in Ibadan?
the lord is ur strength dearie. There is light at the end of the tunnel, just hold on strong. Ur dad will be fine

Oh dear dear dear zikkie, please don't cry ok. Oh God please have mercy on her father, my heart is breaking here, we need strength Lord cry

As for the outing, the date is tentative, I'm sure the family can wait for everyone smiley

Can you buy a straight urine catheter set from the medical equipment store? While the hospital is shut down, you can use the set to help empty his bladder so his kidneys won't get affected due to retention

I need to speak with you, let's make that happen soon okay, please smile for now kiss

Well, it's quite difficult to accept so many things in our lives because we don't always get to choose what happens to us in life. But then, we have to live on, to fight on and make sure that we make something out of what life throws at us. It is well.

All these health workers sef, dem strike pass lightening. I just don't understand this country sef. I just hope the strike doesn't take long.
Try not to be scared. It's hard, I know, but you have to summon up courage and believe that all will be well. Hope and Pray for God to take control.

I'm based in Ibadan tho.

I just don't understand how a country that has a church on almost every street stays in constant turmoil. You're right I guess, at the end of the day, the common man pays for it. The government doesn't care about the health care strike, they'll fly their family members and themselves to get quality care in foreign hospitals, may God help Nigeria.

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a great day?

Zikkie, im so sorry about your father. Please is there a way you can transport him to lagos. Lasuth is not on strike and I'm sure they will do something.
If you consider it, I know a matron there (family) who can help you quick speed things.

Besides when did this start? This urine retention. I hate it when people are sick it makes it cry. I will remember you tonight in my prayers. God should keep me hanging

Xcelsia, and the whole family.

I think I might not be able to make it to the outing. After looking at it thoroughly, I just might not make it.

My fatigue never goes and I'm lightheaded. It's been 10 days after the first chemo. My chemo is usually due every 21 days.
One day I'm fine, the next I'm weak, the other I'm battling being weak.

My apologies to the whole family. If I miss this maybe we could do something towards easter. God keep us til then.

I also want to implore those in the same locality to probably hangout on the said date. Like christine01, Osyxcel, Zikkie. And other too in the same neighbourhood.

Darling we're definitely here for you, please don't apologize. It seems the outing will be too tasking for you zikkie and hephzi, I'll discuss with obinoscopy for an alternative for the family this Christmas. We understand love and sending you strength, please hang on for us.

@Candygosh and Hephzi

You both are really strong, courageous and generous to share your stories this way. There are many females that do not do the monthly self breast exam, your bringing awareness by sharing your stories could very well save many lives.

If you can get pure honey and black cumin seed, try adding this to your daily health regimen by taking one teaspoonful of the mixture daily and believe God for complete healing.

I pray God grants you healing. Sorry I cannot be at your planned awareness program to support.

BTW, pink is cute

Thank you and welcome to the thread. Your inputs will be recognised

Zikkie, be strong for Dad. He will get better. We need to look for another hospital to attend to him. These incessant strikes sef, our health workers and the government are very self-centred and callous. I pray the strike ends soon.

@Candygosh dear, you are not alone. Our hearts are with you. Be strong my dear. We love you....always have.....always will.

Morning family.
