Madam, 'noises' is a noun. The plural of the noun 'noise'.

Noises can be used as a verb in the 3rd person present form but this is an outdated form of usage which has been rendered obsolete.

You also said it is used informally which is 100% wrong. It is part of the "Queen's English" vocabulary. Noises is not a slang.

If you want to find out, just look for a heated tribal or political discussion between two Kenyans then jump in between and anounce yourself as bieng a foreigner and then comment something bad about Kenya, Next thing they will do is forget there difernces and turn on you you would eeven think that the two guys are closest of friends
