Whasapp virus seriously attacking phones, it was first noticed by my friends in the UK when suddenly their whazapp app start sending only empty messages. Now, as at this morning 4 of my friends' phones had fallen victim, all messages they send to me always deliver empty/blank. It shorts down and freezes the phone periodically. Now I'm noticing same on my phone. Has anybody u know fallen victim to it? What's the solution?!
I can't afford to lose my whasapp as it's more of my major business tool. And to lose my phone.... don't even go there. So, if you've fallen victim let's know. And if you've got the solution, PLEASE, let us know ASAP!

I could make calls or sms with my phone and when I called MTN customercare,they told me whatsapp is to blame and that I should switch off for 10minutes and switch on again.

It's comfied. If u have up to 250 Whasapp contacts, start sending them message one by one. I'm sure sooner that u think, the infected ones will start delivering empty mgses and ur phone will catch the virus and start doing same. Faster still, if u r much of a doubting Thomas post ur No here now, let me send u a whasapp msg to infect u since mine is already infected.

i tot i was d only one experiencing dis ish oo... infact my 8gb card has been destroyed kus of dis ish.. It all started wen i upgraded my whatsapp 2 d latest version.. na so my pone start to dey misbehave.. I.e, deletin most of my important musics, files and docs bit by bit.. B4 i go drink water drop cup, almost all my files for my fone no gree open again oo... rite now am jst tryna pick up d pieces... (rilly rilly painful. ) chei..

A friend of mine is complaining bitterly about same. I don't think it's whatsapp itself that has problem, I think it's a virus that attaches itself to whasapp, there must be a way to prevent it.
I really do hope that MODs will put this on FP so that those that have the solutions can help before it endemically destroy millions'phones.
