Yesterday I went to a nairabet shop to stake on some games, I met a young boy, in his early twenties or so, I had a long conversation with him, he told me his experience wit pool, lotto,card, etc. According to him he was a chronic bettor. According to him, we continue cos we lose, if u are winning always, u wud one day go to greener pastures. Losing has its psychological effect on humans. D more u lose, d more interested u become. D more u win, d less interested u become. Great men don't take betting as risks at all. Some ppl has dis belief that u use money to get money, true to an extent. What if u are losing money instead of getting money would u still continue? Even if u regain ur loses, u wud see dat it was a waste of time and energy to venture into betting. Av vowed to work for my money. When I was active in this betting of a thing, I always begged ppl for picks. I begged several ppl here. I dnt regret my actions though. I found out sometin, what makes me different from d lazy beggar on d street. No difference. I can't keep living this way. Even if its 10 naira daily dat am sure of through my sweat. Being a bettor made me lazy, non chalant to my academics. Cos I asked myself, wats d aim of goin to school if nt money. Then I concluded logically dat if its to make money, den I should start now that I have d opportunity. That's d power of greed speaking. Such an absurd logical conclusion. Av come to realize that there's dignity in labour. If bill gate, dangote, and d rest can make it without dashing bet shops money, then I also can make it. I searched d whole of nairabet for a deactivate account button, I saw nothing. Why, once u are in, it takes d grace of God to go out. Am glad that am out. I will never venture into any form of gambling. So help me God. Pardon my sermon, this is my testimony. I can't keep going backwards. I am not a fool. The funny thing is that, like today that I didn't staked, mostly Italy league, spain, brazil and others played half time draw, but if I were to stake them half time under 2.5, na that day you go see 3 to 4 goals in 1st half, the day I will managed to play them under 4.5 or under 5.5 goals cos of bigger stake from me, na that day they will score 6 to 7 goals .......
