Soldiers almost kill some people here in Tsafe camp, Zamfara state, the false fire alarm was so terrifying that some people were trying to break the windows of the hostel.

Some carried their bags, some carried only their buckets, some girls came out with only rapers, some guys with singlets and boxers. To make the matter worse, we were just marched to the parade ground and sat on the bear ground for 3hours in the harmattan cold.

Thank God I knew about the fire alarm thing beforehand, I just carefully select my clothes and wear my foot wear. One asthmatic patient almost give up.

I like the experience though.

All of you posted to Abia should come with a very thick sweat shirt and a very lite hand fan Sweat shirt/sweater for d almighty cold in d wee hours and handfan for d afternoon sun. D two na die. And be prepared to wake up as early as 3am. Sleep is now a luxury except on Sundays cos there's no parade. The camp is cool and the soldiers are friendly. Come with mufti if you can... You will be allowed to wear it on Sundays from morning till 2pm. Water na another war for here. All in all, ur going to enjoy it. Congrats on your postings y'all.

I ate at d kitchen twice since i got here. There food is nothing to write home about. There are no sockets in d hostel. Its either you parley with the laundry guys so u can go to their side to charge or you pay #50 to charge at mammi. Come with enough cash though...if you want to enjoy ds hood. Cheers
