I understand but remember that sea freight takes longer time than air freight which makes it cheaper.
It can carry more than what can be carried via air.
It's just like comparing travelling by air to travelling by sea or train.

As a matter of fact, you can a ship a laptop for as low as N3,000 from USA through air freight using
some trusted shipping company.

I can remember I shipped four laptops to Nigeria for just N12,000 whereas DHL via myus.com charged
me $274 which was about N45,000 for five laptops of the same make the last time I shipped through
them three months ago.
I'm not saying that myus is not good. They are highly professional keeping things highly safe with them,
carefully observing your item when collected and the likes.

As per d shipping charges you talked about, thats not true. There are some third party agents that are very affordable and fast. Go check them out at technology market here on NL and you'd be amazed. Talking from experience

If you're buying from eBay UK, the shipping company I use charges £55 for all items 10kg and below to Lagos. This includes customs, clearing and delivery to your door. They are ocimex.co.uk, or I usually help people buy for a 20% transaction charge.

I wish I can help you but right now am not hapi for u saying Chinko buyers do you know that even on eBay there are Chinese sellers that also sell on aliexpress, eBay is a market place anybody can sell there as long you av bin verified... so now a solution for you since my us is killing compared to our own third party but the third party are not always reliable (not all of them), atimes your goods get lost in transition and u won't get a refund so I decided to make my relationship with friends in the USA close and to my surprise I get my goods here in Nigeria cheaper than myus and secured too...
