Damkollins, please, my status will change next month and I would be required to change my visa office from Accra to Ottawa. I would be resident in the US as a student as from next month. Should I notify the CIO immediately I entered US about my change of status or I should wait till school resumes in January. I don't want a situation where my application would have been sent to AVO before I notify them. I received my PER October 9th, 2014.

Thank you

Leave CIO out of this and deal with AVO. Since you have gotten your PER, your document has been moved. We have got similar case and I pray we'll get over it IJN.

I thought it is if u have been a resident in another country for one year. Or could it be if u have a resident permit of such time?

Good morning house. I'm new to this forum. Just stumbled upon it yesterday. I was very happy to discover this helpful forum.
I just decided to apply for the fswp and I need a few clarification. Please pardon me if this question has been asked over and over again....it's not possible to go through all the threads on this forum, though I tried, I couldn't.

I want to claim education points using my masters degree, because of the delays inherent in our Nigerian institutions, I decided....based on advise seen on this forum... to ignore sending my B.SC to WES for assessment to prevent delays. I need confirmation on the below.

1.) Though my B.SC will not be assessed by WES, do I still have to send it and my WEAC results along side my EAC for my M.SC. with my application to CIC, or just the EAC for my M.SC?
2.) I don't see anywhere on the instruction guide to get your institutions to send your transcripts directly to CIC... what I see now is to include copies of my certificates and transcripts with my application...please confirm this is the case

Thank you house. Awaiting a quick and favorable response.

1.No need sending your WAEC result for the assessment, your Msc will suffice in this regard.

2.Copies of transcripts are to be included (by the applicant) if and where available as part of the documents to be forwarded to CIC.

1. Yes, you will need to send your WAEC, BSC, MSC and ECA along with your application to CIC
2. If you don't have your transcript, no need to worry and delay, just send your credentials and ECA to CIC.

For POF,your local bank statement is all you need and you can use www.oanda.com for the calculation of the CAD equivalent. Howver, you should make allowance for exchange fluctuation.

That is misleading! You only need to send the same documents with which you obtained your ECA result, nothing more except you want a delay in your application.

Note that your educational qualifications are also scrutinized/verified by CIC should the need arises.

Hello House,

I did obtained my police clearance certificate from UK and Nigeria and my IELTS sometime July this month. I just renewed my international passport (due to the other one that will expire 6 months from now) which was a different one used for my police clearance certificates and IELTS.

Please people, what do i do ooooo. I need your helpsss

Thank you.

Maybe my question 1 wasn't clear. I need to know if I have to send all my qualifications and certificates from WAEC to B.Sc to CIC even though i'm claiming points for just the M.Sc qualification.

Thank you house. Appreciate the good work done here.

Your question is well understood.

No need adding WAEC, send the same documents you sent to the approved ECA agency. This is because your details will be verified with the agency and if you include documents that's not part of the assessment, they might begin another round of verification on the additional document (depending on the case officer). The idea is not to delay the processing of your application.

All documents are subject to scrutiny by the case officer.

Thank you.

It is better not to include the PCC now if the passport with which you obtained the PCC has changed/expired. You will succeed in raising suspicion as to your intention when it comes to background/criminality check if there are differences in your bio data page.

It is either you obtain a new one (PCC) with the new passport or you don't include the old PCC as you might be asked to send in another one/or a more detailed security and Criminality check is carried out which might slow the processing pace of your application.

It's a different ball game if you had submitted all your application with the old passport with the old PCC.

Thank you for your response.

What about my IELTS

IELTS is still better, valid for 2 years. You can include a cover letter explaining the difference in the candidate ID on your result and the bio data page of your passport. You can't do the same when it comes to security/criminality check...You must not raise unnecessary suspicion as criminality/security check is at the heart of the immigration program of any country.

My ECA came by post yesterday since oct 15th that it was sent (that is about 35 days). Unfortunately, I had ordered another copy from WES which I got on monday. I guessed I should have exercised more patience.
Well, I am ready to send my application.
Just to be sure, is the address below correct. I am sending by courier.
