babyosisi: I'm not so good with teaching oooo, but lemme try. Recipes -Garden egg -Fresh pepper -Onions -Salt -Palm oil We have majorly three different types of garden eggs. The long purplish ones, the local bitter small ones and the popular white ones that people eat with groundnut. You can use any of these. I used the usual white ones as they are easily seen and softer to mash, since I don't have a mortar. The best, in my opinion, are the long purplish ones. Steps -Wash 3 pieces of garden egg, 5 pieces of fresh pepper and one moderately sized onions -Cut all into halves or smaller pieces -Put all in a plastic bowl that has a cover -Put the bowl into boiling water (you can even put it in the pot used in cooking the yam) -Leave to cook for 10mins -Bring out and mash with pestle in same bowl. I improvised with turn garri. -Heat up some palm oil for 1 minute -Add the mashed mixture -Add salt to taste -Leave for 30secs and serve I've never tried it with zucchini. But a lil experiment doesn't hurt right? One time, i had to substitute vegetable oil for palm oil and it came out quite nice. Hope I made small sense? 2 Likes |

The Shell is the wonder that baffled me at the start of the journey into the Snail wonderland. To every eyes that have seen dis, all they ask is will the Shell be eaten with it? I'm glad to tell U all NO, the shell will not be eaten. This method I believe came existence out of creativity and to present animals in their real state even while about to eat them (like in d case of Clam, Oyster and Periwinkle). The snails were removed from the Shell at first to be cleaned of all saliva, Spiced and returned into the Shell as a whole. It is then cooked like normal peppersoup. I'm glad I'm African @AderibigbeAAA, life in the creek is Sweet ooooooooooooo @others, the xperience is second to none. |
