I thought precedence is a reference point and valid in stating cases when it comes to law. Mr. SAN, why not ask Mimiko to also resign for the sake of equity.

Stop writing foolishly. Go and get a copy of the constitution.

Nigeria is bigger than Tambuwal's personal ambition
I agree
Nigeria is equally bigger than Jonathan's personal desire to remove Tambuwal
Or should the emergency renewal request by Jonathan not be debated by the House?

Very stupid question. You better park well.

We have the constitution
It states that the National Assembly to convene to deliberate on the state of emergency request by the President
It also mandates the members of the Labour Party in Ondo state who defected to PDP to also resign

He is a major part of the problem.

His action constitutes gross impunity and he knows it.

There is no way Jonathan would allow him run the lower chamber of the legislature like his private fiefdom.

when he was in PDP,he wasn't the problem. He suddenly becomes a problem because he defected.
Oga,tell Jonathan to solve the problems affecting Nigerians and let him leave Tambuwal alone!!

Next time the police that will mount the NASS assembly will be a fearsome riot squad that will treat anyone jumping fences as thieves!

Tambuwal wants to take on the state from the wrong side of the law. He will go to jail if he does not take time!
Yesterday was a show of shame from our government Oga. If the police was to lock anyone outside, was it Tambuwal or all APC Representatives?

My sister, political allegiances aside, a very dangerous precedent is being set here if Tambuwal does not step down.

Lawlessness is part of the problem and what Tambuwal is trying to do here is simply lawless.

His actions are bringing the second arm of government to disrepute!

What is lawless in the House trying to convene to discuss a request made by the President to extend emergency rule?
The precedent ("undangerous" then but now dangerous, according to you) was set when Senator Musiliu Obanikoro defected from AC to PDP
Senator Obanikoro was warmly received by the PDP
When journalists asked him about the morality of leaving the party that sponsored him to the senate
Senator Obanikoro said
"Don't ask me about morality; if you want to discuss morality, ask the Pope"

Jonathan is the one bringing the office of the president to disrepute
I saw him warn PDP aspirants against "do-or-die" politics. He forgot that same do-or-die politics of Obasanjo brought him and his boss (Yaradua) into office
We also know that Jonathan did not even allow Sylva to buy a nomination form when Jonathan wanted to impose Dickson on Bayelsa
We note that Jonathan is trying to ensure that he is the only one that gets PDP nomination form for the PDP presidential primary

Similarly Jonathan warns today against treasonable acts esp by people hiding under immunity
He added that the nation's unity cannot be threatened
But Asari Dokubo's threat to make this country explode if Jonathan does not get a second term is not treasonable?
His threat to match the North "bullet for bullet" is not treasonable?
His assertion that Northerners are parasites that they will frustrate to the extent that the Northerners will beg to leave this country is what?
Asari's declaration that core Northerners are from Futa Jalon and woiuld not be allowed to rule is not treasonable?

Is Jonathan aware that the Itsekiris are threatening to secede if Jonathan continues to favour his Ijaw people in the Itsekiris' dispute with the Ijaw?
Is Jonathan saying that Tompolo has the powers to detain Nigerians including journalists and frame them?

President Jonathan is an insincere person who puts his ambition and friends above national interest

Well, the constitution remains sacrosanct.

It stipulates that a defecting legislator must vacate their seat if they want to change the platform from which they emerged provided there is no division in their original party.

If Tambuwal is a speaker who doesn't speak falsehood, then he should know and do the needful.

Next time the legislators should first visit Ombatse and "insure" themselves properly
I hope you remember the Ombatse people killed 97 policemen and SSS without being asked to as much as writing a statement

Then they should seek the blessing of Tompolo who will call the police to order
Afterall if the Navy (an Armed force) is taking instructions from Tompolo, who are the police (civilians)?

Were the Labour party legislators who defected to PDP sworn in under a different constitution?
And if you talk about division or faction, tell us the factions in Labour party!!!

Go and learn the constitution before you engage in a debate u have no clue about

Mimiko is not a legislator!

Yet Mimiko is a political office holder who decamped without any consequence.

The National Assembly case is just an act of inpunity by PDP led govt, just like we witnessed in River state House, Edo state House, currently in Ekiti State House to mention a few

What has the Executive or the Police force got to do with issues that concerns the Legislature when we have the Judiciary who is a nuetral arm of the Government?

Now Doyin Okupe has come out to deny the FG's involvement in the National Assembly bruhaha, forgeting that he that own the pipe(NPF) dictates the tune(NPF's Action).

Tambuwal is not a smart politician, first thing first, he ought to have defected long before now when the coast was clear and now calling the bluff off the President when the stand of the constitution does not in any way favoured him.....Tambuwal will learn the hard way just like Amaechi undecided
Before you call anyone foolish, follow trend of events
Is the House of Reps required to deliberate on the extension of state of emergency request by the president or not?
If yes, is that not what the House was trying to do?
Or is the Senate calling Jonathan's bluff by sitting on the same request?
If Tambuwal had not reacted to Jonathan's letter, you guys would have "wisely" declared that he is toying with national security
