lonngmann: GEJ government uses and dumps NYSC members. NYSC members have never been so humiliated like this. Not even under Buhari, IBB and Abacha. During the military regimes NYSC members enjoyed the best days ever.

In the camp nysc provides free food like twice a day . However if you don't like their food you ve to visit mammy market and waste your money. I used the word waste cause food their re very expensive.for someone who is not rich pls eat the camp food and save the little you come with. Movement of cash has always been an issue cos must camps re far from banks. I am not holding brief for nysc. The truth remains their allawee will go into their account and it is their money so don't see reasons for their childish action |

drugplus: Mr, it used to be cash, I collected my first allawee cash. But since the last batch of 2013, due to the cashless policy it is no longer paid in cash. How can someone in his/her right senses, in a strange land finish all the physical cash they have on them. |

UnimkeAk:save us the cashless crap... There's what we call "planning".... Most members must have planned to make use of that first allowee cash. Since it was not officially scrapped what are you trying to justify here? Let the FG make a statement that they won't pay cash again then peeps will make plans for Tfare problem solved. This is wrong abeg 1 Like |

Re: Protest At Rivers State NYSC Orientation Camp Over Delayed Allowance by Nobody: 1:35pm On Nov 21, 2014 |
Its normal in Rivers state for corp members to be treated unkindly by officials of NYSC and also the Rivers state government. People who passed out in june 2013 ie the 2012 batch B have not been paid their state allowance of N110,000 for 11 months till date the Rivers state education board is saying the ex-corp members should have patience. So if that could be allowed, soon corpers will pay money to serve their father land. (Already happening now as prospective corps members pay for call up letter).....my take- UNIVERSITY EDUCATION IS OVERRATED IN NIGERIA!!!! |

Cutehector4u: First allowee is always by cash Oga. Rivers state is quite an annoying state to serve, am not really surprise though, that state pays allowee haphazardly, there were some months dt we got allowee very very late, and even the promised state allowed is yet to be paid. Batch B 2012 is yet to collect state allowee, they only paid batch A 2012 in January 2014. |
Re: Protest At Rivers State NYSC Orientation Camp Over Delayed Allowance by whytepawn1(m): 1:43pm On Nov 21, 2014 |
Cutehector4u:have you been to camp previously, I doubt you have. it's a normal routine for the money to be handed to them right there in camp. unless The system have changed Which I very much doubt. the first " allowie " is handed over to the corpers right there in camp. |

First of all they are not the first that this is happening to. In Enugu State, the batch. B 2014 corpers were not paid in camp, they went to their respective PPAs to open their accounts before they were paid and I'm not talking about stream 2. Secondly, protests are illegal and not allowed through out the NySC year not to talk of in camp. I pity this country at the crop of graduates coming up cos they are learning from their governors and representatives cos they believe we have freedom to do what we want. But let them read their bye-laws and see. It isn't compulsory that it will be paid in camp whether the nysc officials have something to hide isn't the issue here, they have a law guiding them and they should obey. Some of the people protedting actually came to camp with as much as 100k yet nothing is remaining. |

Thinkr: This shouldn't be an issue. If this is just a single case of Rivers State, it means funds has already been released by the FG. You dnt hv to drag the FG into very tiny bit of irregularities You should address your grievances to the DG and State coordinator in charge. They are not the first not to be paid while in camp. What should be done, is that DG should ensure that, kopas open their accts and time and also make sure the banks comply by paying them on time b4 leaving camp. |

brainpower:Imagine your useless mouth that you use to pour poo. Protest is not allowed in the NYSC and the idiot politicians are using this to suffer and ridicule graduates. People like you are the reasons why these old people will keep saying Nigerian graduates are unemployable because you take whatever comes your way. If they had not protested now the Rivers state NYSC will go free with this soon it will become a normal thing for them to put corp members allowance in the bank for selfish reasons. You are saying they should keep quiet and continue dieing in silence when people at the top want to ruin our future?....Laws are meant for men, not the other way round. Kudos corps members in Nonwa gbam tai....stand for your right everytime, all the time and stay united in decision making always. |

UnimkeAk:bro I don't rili have an issue with what ever they do. My own is that even if your not gonna pay me for the first 6months just tell me first so I'll plan for that, not when I got all my hopes on that 19800. Its all about procedures bruh. Meanwhile, I mentioned FG cos they pay the cash. Guess I should have said nysc. Cheers |

Cutehector4u:you wanna leave the camp when you ought to be paid. You think it's that easy. You would not have an idea because you have not served. You wanna use ur money to embark on a journey for you country that don't care about you. If they do , they ought to provide these cash cos they know definitely corners will need it. |
