Imagine your useless mouth that you use to pour poo. Protest is not allowed in the NYSC and the idiot politicians are using this to suffer and ridicule graduates. People like you are the reasons why these old people will keep saying Nigerian graduates are unemployable because you take whatever comes your way. If they had not protested now the Rivers state NYSC will go free with this soon it will become a normal thing for them to put corp members allowance in the bank for selfish reasons. You are saying they should keep quiet and continue dieing in silence when people at the top want to ruin our future?....Laws are meant for men, not the other way round. Kudos corps members in Nonwa gbam tai....stand for your right everytime, all the time and stay united in decision making always.

I don't normally reply people that insult others cos it shows how frustrated they are. You can shre your idea without insulting me and I believe I not the only one that doesn't shre thesame idea with you.
Now to the topic, the military doesn't do such protests and nysc is considered technically as a paramilitary. Nysc didn't say they won't be paid their money but that they should go to their respective LG of posting first and its not the first time its happening or are the others fools?
They have laws that guide them in nysc, they have the camp court to go to in case they have grievances.
What should be noted is that their money will be given to them and its not law that cash has to be given to them in camp.
Now they have the freedom to protest but not that kin of protest. All thesame, you can see their protest as the right thing to do, I differ from that and the last time I checked I have the righht to not reason like you. But if you still have a problem with it, you can go to hell. For your information, Rivers state govt doesn't pay state allowance until after one year or more when you are no longer a corper, the question is, will they protest that too?

Its just so bad. I served in khana and I know what some ex-corp member go through. I'm doing very well myself and I know what I went through before I got to this stage. Its just annoying when I see government officials hiding behind the garment of law to do evil and they always always always go free in the end. I like what these corps members did, atleast it got them the required results.

Why are you everywhere defending NYSC Rivers State? I think it's either your relative is the state coordinator there or you've not served Nigeria. No time in history has the first allowee ever paid through any bank.

My Bro, another thing I want you to know is that, it is not advisable to hold onto much cash cos of stealing on camp. Also, u won't be allowed to leave the camp to make withdrawals, it is not easy doing that. As a result, what the fg does is to pay corp members their first allowance in cash while subsequent ones will be paid into the corper's bank account. What I also want you to know is that, corp members open bank accounts mostly after orientation program, except for few cases. This made it wrong if the NYSC officials then try make a move to pay the first allowance into their bank accounts, as some account might not even be ready yet after the orientation even though they were opened during the orientation program... God help us all...

How much is the allowee that young unemployed people are being owed?? Were they not budgeted for, and has the funds not been released??

Sometimes i wonder why the NYSC program still exists...

Served in Etche, in a village where 3 female corp members were kidnapped by their students. We didnt see electricity for close to 7months. Imagine there is no single bank in the whole LG we keep going to Rumukoro to withdraw and the traffic in PH is epic. Anyways I have served my fatherland and I wish others Godspeed.

Its normal in Rivers state for corp members to be treated unkindly by officials of NYSC and also the Rivers state government. People who passed out in june 2013 ie the 2012 batch B have not been paid their state allowance of N110,000 for 11 months till date the Rivers state education board is saying the ex-corp members should have patience.
So if that could be allowed, soon corpers will pay money to serve their father land. (Already happening now as prospective corps members pay for call up letter).....my take- UNIVERSITY EDUCATION IS OVERRATED IN NIGERIA!!!!
you are talking of batch b 2012. some of us that served in etche lga 2012 batch A have not received our state allawee.
