thank you bro , they keep saying he built universities , o we need universities when the ones we have don't match to standard, building universities when ASUU will still go on strike. No jobs when these folks graduate. These guy and his team can't make policies because they have something in their cupboards.
there is no country in the world where their govt is able to provide job for every single youth or person.but it is the duty of govt to provide an enabling and conducive environment for job creation by its citizens and foreigners. If you can't tap into the abundant business opportunities in nigeria ,then that is your problem. Stop asking what ur country can do for you and start asking yourself what you can do for urself. So during obj tenure ASUU didn't go on strike ,abi? Or the problem that caused the ASUU strike wasn't it caused by the agreement signed during obj tenure?most of u guys don't even know what you dabbling about.

This Okupe will destroy Jonathan. Okupe what happened to the cease-fire with Boko Haram? Where are the girls that you promised CNN to bring back since last month? Can't you see the World now know that you are just a sycophant, leading Jonathan and his wife to their grave. Wicked man, just for your pot belly alone - God is watching you and will pay you in your coin.
pls compare remi oyo with doyen okupe. Remi was SA to obj in his time. We saw how well cultured she was in addressing issues. That's to tell you the kind of government we have now. Doyen just talks even on issues he ought to ignore.

Who built the NIPP that is now generating the 4MW? Who introduced the Telecoms companies, banks and oil companies that gave millions of Nigerian youths jobs between 2002 and 2009? Who even sat Jona's ass on the presidency? All thanks to OBJ, this great man squashed any form of uprising during his time, he was ECOWAS leader, He was ANC leader, a typical African spokesperson, just a little lower than Mandela and u compare him to this one? bros do u know the meaning of been politically relevant? If you do you will know that obj relevance is drastically shrinking on a daily basis ,and all this attacks on gej and his govt is to shore up his public image as a democrat or progressive person. He is in the ruling party ,but yet they don't see him or get his approval for things anymore. Even at the grassroot in his home town or state he isn't relevant. We are talking about a president that even refused to complete the main road to his ota farm despite the fact that he used 8 years as president. We are talking about a president that awarded a contract for the construction of ibadan to ilorin and which took 10years to complete. Yet go to lagos ibadan express which started just last year and it is almost 50% completed .have u forgotten how obj leveled odi town? It is obvious nigerians have short memories and that is why politicians always comeback to fool u all the time.atiku, obj, tinubu, fayose,el rufai ,tambuwal etc they are all birds of the same feather .

OBJ IS NOT RELEVANT AND GEHRIG'S SENT HIS PDP FAMILY TO BEG HIM ON HIS BEHALF?

DO YOU KNOW THE NUMBER OF AFRICAN LEADERS, NIGERIAN LEADERS THAT VISITS HIM IN HIS HILLTOP MANSION?

NIGERIA DIDN'T WITNESS THIS SHOW OF SHAME DURING OBJ'S REGIME.

not just that , many federal parastatals where created eg pppra, effcc,Napkep, ICPC.... All these just to create jobs. Majority of the projects coming tru fruition now were put up by obj... Eg local content. The truth be told, one would expect us to not on this level considering what the resources Jonathan met in office.

The issue is not whether OBJ is better than GEJ. You are being technical here. Obasanjo's performance is not the standard for measuring Jonathan's or any other president's performance. GEJ's performance is measured based on "what he has done so far against what he could have done. It is a plot of Potential performance (considering the resources at his disposal) against current performance. If we want to be true to ourselves, based on this measurement scale, then we will agree that Jonathan's performance is abysmal.

Obj will soon lose his political credibility with the way he is talking. Most nigerians haven't forgotten how he sunk billions of dollars into the power sector without any tangible results and how gave bogus contracts to the chinese for railway works. What about electoral malpractices during his time which he actively supported, etc the removal of dariye and ladoja with less the number of required votes. We all know how obj used the efcc to intimidate his political opponents and enemies. The alscon was created by obj because he didn't follow laid down rules, infact the cases against obj are even too numerous,he and gej are the same, all politicians in nigeria are the same. Obj govt was even worse than this. Baba should just face his chicken and poultry business.

You are a wiseman with facts.

Good score card presentation.

While some people just talk aimlessly without points.

Just check out the country's financial situation and you will see for yourself. Are there any projects that will be able to pay the debt incurred by this govt. will the universities built settle the debts.lagos is indebted , but with projects that will be able to settle them . If GEJ is below average, what can we say about the past leaders of this great nation, how many of them faced more challenges as GEJ has done, what did Buhari forget in As Rock that he wants to go and bring, Atiku spent the 8years without knowing they can make it right, OBi only left Nigeria injurious confusion till now, apart from bringonu in the telecommunication system which he kept draining us dry with, can anyone record any landslide victory in his 8year tenure Afterall he shouldn't be among the judges to pass verdict in this dispensation.

If you knew how power projects work, you will not be saying a these.

Let me educate you. When you award a power contract, it works in 3 stages

Engineering 10%
Procurement 70%
Construction 20%

What this means is that when a contract is awarded within 6months to 1yr 10% must have been paid for the design and survey of the project. Assuming a N1Billion projct, this stage would cost 100million.

Next is buy the equipments that will be installed and its offshore since Nigeria does not have thw capacity. This stage takes up 70 whole percent of the contract sum and is paid in bulk within a year of awarding the contract. Mind you by this stage 80% of the project sum is paid but not a single thing is on site not even perimeter fence because that is the last stage of construction. By now assuming the N1billion N800million would have been spent with nothing to show and ignorant people like you start shouting that he is looting. These sums were paid by OBJ leaving only 20% for Yaradua and GEJ to pay and complete.

Now tell me who gets credit? Gej or Obj.

it is quite obvious you base ur assumptions on what you read here on nairaland and not what is happening on ground. Name one just one obj loyalist who is in the nwc or nec of pdp ? All obj boys have been booted out of pdp ,even his core supporter and who was his only nominee ,oyinlola was sacked as national secretary of pdp and refused entry back by gej. What about oni,and so many others. People are getting things done in pdp without obj input or approval, all his political foes are the ones in power, obj openly said that fayose won't win and yet he won the primaries and even the governorship. Buruji kashamu is still the south west patron of pdp despite obj calls that he wants him removed before he obj will take active part in pdp workings again, his calls were politely ignored. Daniel and mimiko are obj political foes and now they are back in pdp. Anenih was the BOT chairman of pdp before obj used his power to push him aside now annenih is back as pdp bot chairman. The only two ways for obj now is to either shut up or romance the opposition and he has chosen to romance the opposition. If obj is politically relevant, let him nominate a lg chairman in his home town and let's see whether ppl will vote for him. Even as far as ogun state grassroot politics is concerned the likes of osoba hold more clout than obj. He is an elder stateman,he is a former president of nigeria from pdp , and he is a member of pdp,so nation is bound too give him his due respect at all times,so noone dares go to ota and insult him. If anyone goes there u must give him his due respect. But respect is different from political relevance

Which solid foundation please.

1. Which industry did Obj revamp ? ( Closed down Ibeto cement to help Dangote, textiles factories were shutting down, no single indigenous car manufacturer was functioning, tyre factories like Dunlop shut down ).

2. What did Obj do with Power or Electricity ? ( After all the huge media propaganda, I was in the university at that time so I can vividly remember. )

3. What did Obj do with the railways ? ( His biggest gold mine, all embezzled, no single couch )

4. What kind of elections did Obj conduct during his tenure ? ( Do or die ). Tell me if it is constitutional for an out going leader or President to decide who his successor should be. Hand picking a dying man to replace him as President. African leaders are next to animals in reasoning. And he still had the guts to discuss it with journalists..

5. What legacy did he leave after office ? ( Seeking for 3Rd tenure, He entrenched God fatherisn in Ananbra politics, Emeka Offor, Andy Uba and co, Tony Anenih ) Obasanjo was the kind of man who turned his errand boys into gods for others to worship. He made these men so wealthy and powerful that other men had to worship them because they had access to Obasanjo himself ). That is why people like OUK who know all his secrets could ridicule him openly without remorse.

6. Obj entrenched corruption. Please with all the noise EFCC and ICPC generated in the world media, which of our thieving former governors or politicians is in prison right now ? He only used EFCC as tool for witch hunting perceived political enemies..

Please counter any claims I raised here..
first he tried as to implementing policies in all sectors , he had this one stop shop programmer that addressed issues , stake holders meet with the president , I know lots that this helped. He was familiar with the citizens . GEJ is not I any way . Obj was always interviewed monthly , where you have nigerians say their opinions. The local content in the oil industry was started by obj.
The privatization of the power companies had its root in his govt, the do or die is ur opinion tho . The godfather ism you talking is a political thing , its everywhere in the world not nigeria alone. Obama has his candidates already , Putin still trying to control some part of Ukraine. As long as we are humans , it will forever be there. As it concerns efcc and others ... those organisation created jobs at leat. Some served eg bode george.... have you bothered to ask yourself the kind of people efcc went after, they were the ass.ickers of baba. why did efcc not go after tinubu or bisi akande.....the fact that government officials never served terms doesn't mean GEJ tenure has to encourage it more. We should not be comparing GEJ to obj. He ought to be better , progressive. If I am a failure and in criticize and I say you have not done well . Does it make sense comparing yourself to me , it means truly you have failed.... And this is what GEJ and his folks are doing.
