let's assume a girl claims you raped her.
if you did, let the law take its course.
if you didnt, what would you do?
either way, should your sister go to the media and disassociate herself from you immediately?

She gave a technical response. She said alot but people understand everything differently.

She did not support rape, but will be patient for the justice system to either vindicate or prosecute the alleged culprit .

Bros I don't agree with you.
Rape is a very easy excuse for a runs girl. Abi u no go university? shocked

I haven't defended the girl and said her story was accurate; I am defending Stephanie position on the matter because some people are saying that she shouldn't have commented.

Whether she was raped or not; like Stephanie stated, she deferred it to the justice system to decide. I am with her on that position.

As of now the point is that she CLAIMED she was raped

Exactly!

That's why I have insisted on that it's a claim which is subject to investigation.

It's obvious you never read her response; she never disassociated herself from her brother, she made her point. She said: the issue of rape is one that is dear to her heart and thus, it does not matter who's face is involved in such. However; she deferred the case to the justice system to decide if her brother is innocent or guilty. What part of her statement claimed she disowned her brother?

the intelligence needed here is to locate the seven guards to verify the story.

and also find out who is paying for the neighbour's damaged car.

Rape is something you can't understand till you're affected directly or indirectly.

Most who are raped never talk about it because of the stigmatization that it comes with.

I really commend Stephanie for speaking up and putting sentiments aside.

I tire for the mata sef... Some people's thinking should be questioned. It's indeed obvious many did not read both articles before commenting, therefore the burden of correcting odd conjectures is annoying.

That is not her role but for the law enforcement agent. I still wonder, if the okereke house is now unilag campus.

Wat business did they have together? So she followed him to the room without force.

I doubt this womans story as much as i try to support her, this story get k-leg.

At the eatery, he ordered that the food be made take-away and asked me to go eat it in his place and at the same time rest before taking me back to the hostel.
Immediately we entered the room, he secured the door and I had supper and later asked to be taken back . But he said he must have sex with me. I tried to appeal to him to consider my state of health and take me back to campus.

Before I knew what was happening,he started beating me, forcing to have his way. As if that was not enough, he called in seven guards in the compound who assisted him and tied me down. He thereafter, went into his kitchen and brought out a knife, threatening to kill me if I resisted. He took me to one of the rooms where he brought out a condom and raped me.

So the rape did not take place when seven men allegedly tied her down , she was untied and taken to a room where the monster had time to wear condom before forced sex.

Then all of a sudden, she found the strength to destroy property, shout and fight all the seven men and Mr Okereke?

she went violent and started shattering every property she could lay her hands on. In the process, one of the objects she allegedly threw out of the window, landed on a vehicle belonging to one of the tenants, smashing its windscreen. That attracted neighbours.

Tell me a story that is plausible abeg. Tell me that the guy no agree to settle as una talk.

You and I know what we are arguing is NOT the issue of rape but Stephanie's position on the matter. How will I handle it? I wouldn't know how to handle it because I haven't been accused of one; nonetheless, with the modern use of technology and a good lawyer, I will scale through should I be accused of such.

The only way I can stand to welcome Stephanie's stand on this is if she can request her brother be castrated so that he will now become impotent.

Only rape victims know what they go through in the hands of rapist. You can imagine a defenseless lady who is tied with rope and molested go through in the hands of the rapist. A would be mother to someone been raped.Too bad. He did what he did because he believed that with money, he can buy the legal system here in Nigeria.

I want our legal system and women lawyers to stand to make sure that this man is castrated and imprisoned. Even in this part of this world, married men do rape their wife in the name of " He is my wife and property" A woman has the right to accept or refuse any sexual advance by her husband or friend. Any violation, the man should be jailed and castrated,

Why will a supposedly well to do guy rape a woman??

its 2014 for petes sake..women are so damn cheap to get..most girls even give it free of charge with no strings attached...

i know girls that all they want is come for weekend in a guy's house..enjoy watching his dstv explorer, chop air-conditioner..fcck and cook sef..give her 2k for transport on monday and you have added icing on her cake..

Girls that will not disturb you and will behave themselves when your main chic or wife calls or comes visiting..all they do is booty calls..and yes they are NYSC members and students..so why will a man rape a woman??

Okay for the liverless guys..last i checked okpo no dey pass 5k...so whats the justification of raping a woman and leaving indelible scares on her physique and heart?..its just sad..this fat f00l should be thrown into jail and savagely raped by is fellow men.

Tufiakwa..
U got my ribs cracking... u are the baddest baddooo. Sex is d cheapest thing these days... getting a consenting lady is as easy as knowing how to spell ur names. Lots of women; from corpers to higher institution girls to single moms to big girl spinsters; the list is endless. Not to even talk of the professional ex workers. This is e- era.

imagine meeting someone via the Internet and in less than two weeks following same person home feigning sickness. I'm against rape In whatever form. But this girl is not saying the whole truth. ..Due respect to all good women out there.

So for a lady to go out with a man, that now meant that she is at fault? Why not grow up. Cant we be friend to each other? Must you take an advantage of someone you are trying to help?Even if she likes you but was not in the mood to have any sexu-al act, must you force her against her will? Even if she is your wife, must you take advantage of her and respect the woman when she say " No, I do not want it".

Something is wrong with a person like you because you can rape too.

i assume you mean "she" but maybe you dont, going by the militant females wey dey blow up and down all over the place these days.

as per your post, do you need another thread for that since nothing in the write ups indicate a marriage took place unless you are saying having sex means marriage.

did she conduct her own investigation before throwing her brother under the bus (whether brother or half brother).

And could she not have worded her statement more carefully without indicting anybody?

this looks too much like the adebayour saga. Polygamous families should learn to stop involving the world in their personal family troubles, I've already said polygamy is the quickest and most effective method of population control.

I'm really trying to understand what you are saying because you are insinuatingly supporting this rape.
A girl was raped and all you are concerned about is who pays for the properties and why should Stephanie speak against her brother.

when your brother, husband or close male relative gets accused of rape, you'll re-examine the scenario without sarcasm.
