I've seen several threads on this section whereby people try to know the exact breed of dogs they own. These have yielded results, courtesy of Guru's in the house I'm doing just that for my own dog. Arnold was year old on 8th of this month. (the vet card says so). He is my first dog and I took possession when he was 6 weeks. This dog is so agile. He barks a lot, especially at strangers. He hasn't attacked anyone yet though. He was sold to me as a GSD. Having learnt so much on this thread, I have every reason to believe that he is not a pedigree GSD. Could you guys please take a look and tell me what breed of dog he really is? I'm suspecting he's a crossbreed, but don't really know which breeds produced Arnold. Please help. I'm doing this just out of curiosity. I love Arnold and will never sell him. Thanks 1 Like

An Australian shepherd, Gsd, st Bernard potpourri maybe. But it looks good. Bulk hairy and will command some respect. |

@kolokolobi, thanks. which one is St Bernard potpourri? Are you saying my dog is a combination of Australian shepherd, GSD and this St Bernard? thanks once again. |

Your dog looks like a plush coated Bi coloured pure breed Gsd to me, i dnt see any other breed in its mix, st bernard is a no no! Even australian shepherd i doubt even tho dey may have some similar characteristics with a gsd, ur dog according to what am seeing except if it looks different physically is a pure breed bi coloured plush coat gsd. He is a very lovely dog nd looks very healthy, i wish my current male gsd was a female, i wuld ve loved him to even mate her cos urs has rich dominant black colour, my male has black as recesive since he is frm a linage of white gsd. So many people wuld want him as a stud |

This a GSD/Rott mix, the fawn markings are that of Rottie. The ears are also not as long and straight as that of pure GSD which confirms its mixed origin, though the dog look great and its rich fluffy coats are adorable. |
