Yes my brother , sunday is the best day to take fotoshops of Onitsha, i was taking pics im one busy location like that today come see chaos and violent riders and drivers, chaii even the presence of numerous security check points in Onitsha will even make you dodge some good locations. When i was passing along Harbour Industrial Layout, come see companies, the first thing that came to my mind was that i wish Chino and Co were around. My activity at Iyiowa is almost finish but to be sincere i didnt cover 15% of Iyiowa, most of the streets are bad but the neigbourhoods are like the boroughs of New York City. These places were thick forests 5yrs ago but today they are thriving suburbs, i visited a friend around 8pm ystday, nightlife is happening in almost all the joints with live bands, the beer war here is between the local brands, Hero vs Life....Gulder, Star, Heineken et al are just struggling to stay relevant here. Hero is the prefered choice followed by Life, i gulped 2bottles of Hero, bill on my friend. FKO81: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Yes but i didnt capture them with my cam, these one are Central School, Ideke Community College at Iyiowa Odekpe but there is another school i passed, that is where i attended my Primary Sch as a kid, the name is Community Primary Sch 1,2,3 and 4 Iyiowa Odekpe, if you see the renovated schools ee, i couldnt stop to take the pics bc the sch is inbetween my area and Uga Junction. Covering the school will involve getting the service of an Okadaman to take me there, but i know and i saw that the blocks are in great shapes, well painted with send-down-the-rain roofing style. Many schools are being reonavated, MOBJECTIVE: |

If you should ask every Igbo here, they will ask you not to go on with comparing and juxtaposition of Asaba and Awka, i dnt see the reason while you should do that. I passed Asaba when i was entering Anambra and i asked myself why is Anioma not having a thread in NL, the call for Anioma is long overdue, pls open a thread for Anioma but not with the intention of dick-measuring. Do not reply and do not compare, let sleeping dog lie, biko nwanne. Asaba nay Anioma deserve a purposeful thread bro, Asaba is hot and spicy. Energito: 2 Likes |

There is nothing occultic about the house, i was a kid when the building was being constructed and we used to visit there to take a glimpse of the image and the way it was been handled. I was in Primary school then that is why i decided to rush and snap it because the house the most popular in Iyiowa. There is nothing Occultic, its an artwork, shekina cjrane: 2 Likes |

Obiano Presents N164.4 Billion 2015 Budget To Anambra Assembly Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has presented an Appropriation Bill of N164.4 billion for the 2015 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly. The Bill tagged “Budget for Wealth Creation and Social Cohesion” targets economic and social development priorities of the state as outlined in the four pillars of the administrative blueprint that includes, Agriculture, Industrialization, Trade and Commerce and Oil and Gas. The budget represents 3.17 over the 2014 Budget of N159.6 billion, with greater emphasis on road infrastructure and agriculture which will take 48 and 4 point one percent respectively. The proposed budget is made up of N110.97 for Capital Expenditure and N53.5 billion for Recurrent Expenditure. He projected the recurrent revenue earning for the fiscal year at N102.03 billion, made up of N48.4 billion expected from the statutory allocations and N54 billion from internally generated revenue. Mr. Obiano noted that the 2015 projected statutory allocation was N8.6 billion less than the 2014 estimate, which he said reflected the decline in the state’s share of Federal Revenue Allocation. He assured that the substantial growth in the State’s Internally Generated Revenue would make up for the dwindling revenue from FAAC. While the Speaker, Right Honorable Chinwe Nwaebili, assured of accelerated consideration and passage with the collective interest of the state remaining paramount, other members of the House commended the integrity of the Bill. The Bill passed first reading and was transferred to the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, who enjoined all Ministries, Departments and Agencies to prepare their budget defense. http://www.channelstv.com/2014/11/24/obiano-presents-n164-4-billion-2015-budget-anambra-assembly/ 1 Like |

Schematics: Nawaoo, even our meagre share of the allocation gets to be cut. Meanwhile, some states keep receiving theirs in hundreds of billions. Why not take a bigger cut off those richer states and leave the poor ones the heck alone He projected the recurrent revenue earning for the fiscal year at N102.03 billion, made up of N48.4 billion expected from the statutory allocations and N54 billion from internally generated revenue@bolded.. That is a target of about N4.5billion monthly IGR, not bad at this stage. Willie is working 2 Likes |

Yuletide: Obiano tightens security with ‘Operation Sheba’ After establishing himself firmly on top of the security scenario in Anambra State as the chief security officer of the state, Governor Willie Obiano has initiated a wave of new measures to deepen the security network in the state and give Ndi Anambra a chance at experiencing the first crime-free Christmas in decades. One of the new security measures that the governor has rolled out for a safer Anambra this Yuletide Season is ‘Operation Sheba,’ a special, combat-ready, anti-crime police squad that was unveiled recently in Onitsha to give a new dimension to crime-fighting in Anambra State. Made up of 150 elite officers and men of the Nigerian Police Force, Operation Sheba was introduced to give crime-busting in Anambra State a new and biting edge. The squad is split into three units of 50 officers each, designated to 24 hours surveillance on each of the three senatorial districts of the state. Operation Sheba comes to provide more depth to the all-conquering ‘Operation Kpochapu,’ which is credited with wiping out criminals, especially kidnappers from Anambra State in less than two months of swinging into action. Operation Sheba’s strength lies in its high mobility and penetrating surveillance that covers virtually the length and breadth of Anambra State and its rapid response ability. Providing an insight into the formation and mission of Operation Sheba, the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Hosea Karma, explained that the idea of setting up the special squad came from the thunderous ovation that trailed Governor Obiano’s security exploits during the security fundraising organised by the state in Abuja and Lagos recently. According to him, after listening to the words of encouragement from many illustrious sons and daughters of the state who felt elated that Governor Obiano had finally secured the state, it became clear that the state government could not afford to rest on its oars and allow criminals to even contemplate a come-back. “So, we likened those high praises in Lagos and Abuja to the Biblical narrative where Queen Sheba, after hearing the exploits of King Solomon, left her own kingdom to come and witness the greatness of King Solomon, first hand, only to discover that what Solomon had was far greater than what she had heard. We want the indigenes of the state to visit home this Christmas and New Year and find out that Anambra is far more peaceful and secure than the stories they have heard,” explained Karma. According to him, Operation Sheba is poised to raise the bar in community policing in Anambra State as it connects effectively with the officers and men of ‘Operation Kpochapu’ as well as the members of vigilance groups in the various towns to provide a round the clock data on the security situation in the state. According to Commissioner Karma, the Anambra State Police Command has also moved to forestall any likelihood of a breakdown of law and order in any part of the state during the Yuletide Season. “We have issued directives that all commercial vehicles that have hitherto complicated the traffic challenge in Onitsha by picking passengers along the highways must desist from that practice forthwith. Henceforth, they must load their vehicles in parks and garages that the government has designated as bus stations. This will help decongest the roads and ensure a free flow of traffic this season. We have also started arresting street traders and hawkers of all kinds of merchandise on roads and highways as they provide a perfect cover for criminals to strike at unsuspecting commuters. We shall also arrest loiterers and anyone who is roaming the streets aimlessly because they serve as decoy to criminals. We are assuring the people of a crime-free Christmas,” Karma further explained. Although Karma has been in his present position for only two months, there is a growing feeling that he has what it takes to sustain and improve on the excellent foundations laid by his predecessor, AG Gwary. “Within two months of my stay, we have pulled down six houses in six locations and arrested over 100 crime suspects from across the state,” Karma recalled, pointing out that his men had arrested a syndicate made up of a man and his wife that specialised in stealing babies from hospital maternity wards as well as a two-man gang that robbed mothers of their babies at gun point. Also arrested are syndicates that specialised in bank robbery and the one that robbed churches after service, carting away tithes and offerings. The command also arrested a syndicate that tricked car-dealers into parting with their cars with false credit alerts that were programmed to hit their phones once a transaction was sealed. No fewer than 15 second hand cars were recovered from this syndicate alone. Indeed, since his inauguration as the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has continued to justify the faith of Ndi Anambra in him. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=92323 2 Likes |
