I encourage Seun by being a member of Nairaland, I must say its fun and sometimes annoying to the point I'll want to do something crazy. I'll say Facebook is kinda boring these days and Nairaland is kinda fun.

One thing I don't fancy here is the cryptic indulgences offered by Seun where people hide behind monikers and do whatever they like just because they know you don't have an aorta of the person they are. We see kids in mean under age kids rampant here on Nairaland. On Facebook, you have a clear picture who or whom you're dealing on like nairaland.

Age has never been maturity + the young shall grow.
Even the so-called mature one, don't handle issues with maturity @ times.

»joseph1832« You said facebook is kind boring lately and Nairaland seems to be fun

Let me tell you something, those you refer to as immature ones are actually the ones making it lively and fun

If everybody starts acting like a matured man and woman on Nairaland therby creating sensible threads and comments, it will be so boring more than you could eva imagine

Tell me who's Kachisbarbie? Is that someone's name or a pen name?. Hope you get my drift. In terms of maturity, I really will not say age is maturity, experience is, when you survive that experience. And with age comes experience. So maturity varies...

My good man, there's a fine line between funny and stupid.

Me saying Nairaland is fun is not the kind of fun many engage in. My definition of fun defers from yours.

lolz. Naso na @tosyne2much.
This life/country is already too hard and serious. We need means of unwinding and sincerely Nairaland provides it @times.

The people that exude unconscionable levels of odious and rakish attitude here are the acclaimed 'mature ones'.
I think being civil is a thing of the mind, it can't be narrowed down to one set.

Let me tell you something, those you refer to as immature ones are actually the ones making it lively and fun

You have said it all. Check traffic of threads, those jonsing threads pull more traffic than the 'serious ones'. There is something the mods know about how these thing(s) works- that we don't. My own is that, every one should be civil.

Well I am actually not surprised you reason this way! The country is hard, yes it is but I tell you we as Nigerians are not serious!. The jonsing thread as you said pull more views, but what else do you expect from docile people, people who no not when matters are getting out of hand!.

Let me give you an example: Iran threatens Nigeria with nuclear strike-2,352 views and 321 comments. D'banj proposes to Tonto Dikeh- 125,361 views and 80,651 comments. This is what you see here on Nairaland.

The blatant truth about a people who don't know what to take serious. I tell you, the unserious ones are the very reason why we remain a stagnant country.

You mentioned civility, well do you expect an illiterate to be civil or one who doesn't know the meaning of the word. Believe me Kachisbarbie we humans are not civil the least bit. Take away the laws governing us or put a human in a tight corner then our true nature is revealed, just like Thomas Hobbes said "Homo homini lupus est".
