All just to be called 'Doctor '? You are tired of being called 'pharm '? What value will this application when granted add to our health delivery system ? 100 years ago, MBBS and MD never existed, it was licentiate medical diploma . So what changed, are they not the same doctors or don't you think the change has a lot of advantages?.. and the current clamor by other health profession for upgrade will bring the much needed effective and efficient change to care given to patient.
We are no longer in stone age where changes are abhorred or where people advocating for change are exposed to all forms of witch hunts. In 21st century, change is inevitable and is welcomed by vast majority of world population...if you don't follow suit but stay to whimper and whine, most certainly you will be left behind.

In my own opinion , there is as yet no need for the PharmD program in Nigeria . It will serve no purpose for now. This is my opinion . It is now left for you to 'educate ' me /us on the pressing need for the PharmD program at this time of our national development .
Case in point, Nurses are getting degrees through the National open university now but this has not translated to better nursing care delivery when compared to the days of yore , when all that was needed was a diploma from school of nursing . Even people in UK have noticed the plummeting quality of nursing services in NHS hospitals resulting from an increasing number of university trained nurses who claim they cannot clean vomitus or feed patient. So, it is not the type of degree that matter but the essence of your profession.

Nigeria is a Big nation.. the most populated black nation.. change is wat is coming and its coming like a wind... who stands on its way wud be swept with it.. we need to improve in our health sector. a lot of things need upgrade and if u say u are comfortable with the way things are then u need to go back to d stone age. Visit other nation dat are advanced and u wud see how hospitals function.. how cordinated their health sector is... but I know some pple are standing in the way of change cos they are getting their pockets filled with d wrong way of doing things.. with time we wud move to the next phase I swear.. kappish
