this is lovely but expensive. What if it is faulty, unlike the normal fuse where you can easily open and put wire, that means there wont be light till we fix it which can take eternity for those living outside Lagos!

Electrokristron Automatic Phase Changer is built with durability, safety and efficiency in mind in such a manner as to reduce downtime to the barest minimum and better still, to eradicate failures totally. The unit is built with user-friendliness and ease of use in mind as it has features to help the user overcome downtime/failure issues (if these ever occur) as quickly as possible.

Apart from an internal protective and rugged circuit that powers the unit, additional special features were incorporated into the design and these include the following:

Special Features:

1.Inclusion of 'Automatic Mode Over-ride' Switches: Three (3) separate switches are added on the front panel of the unit below the Phase voltage level indication meters to toggle the unit from 'Automatic Phase Selection' Mode to Manual 'Phase Selection Mode'.
This is also called 'Automatic Mode Over-ride' function and what it means is that as a user, you can switch the unit to manual mode and thereby manually select any particular Phase of your choice.
This option/function can be useful if there is an internal fault on one of the Phase lines or if for any strange reasons, the 'Automatic' function fails, you could just switch to another Phase manually.
See the three (3) separate 'Automatic Mode Over-ride' Switches on the front of the unit in the attached picture below, one for each phase.
2. Three (3) totally independent control circuits power the unit internally.
These control circuits are not linked together and failure on one control circuit does not affect the operation of the other two as each of the 3 control circuits handle each of the 3-Phase Supply Input Lines.
This feature of separated control circuits eliminate, as much as possible, total failure of the entire unit in the event of a fault on any of the individual control circuits.
3. Three (3) separate easy to replace miniature 1 Ampere fuses installed at the underside of the unit for quick and easy maintenance in the event of a fault.
These three fuses are linked to the three independent internal control circuits and when a fuse blows, its failure does not interfere with the continued operation of the rest.
1 Ampere miniature fuses (Also written as 1A or 1 Amp fuses) are very common and can be found around us easily... It is the type of fuse found on most electronics gadgets and I believe you must have seen one on the back of your TV/Refrigerator Stabilizer at one point or the other in time. If any of the fuses get blown, just locate the blown fuse on the underside of the unit, replace it and the unit should come completely alive again. If the fault persists, contact a qualified technical personnel to find out the exact reason the fuse continues to blow/cut. See the three (3) separate fuse points on the underside of the unit in the attached picture.

(b) It Monitors your Inverter batteries continuously to ensure they do not drain beyond a safe preset threshold value typically 10.5Volts per battery.
(c) Immediately Inverter batteries attain the threshold level (at 10.5volts, for instance), ELECTROKRISTRON Automatic Changeover starts your Generator and switches over to GEN mode, allowing your Inverter batteries to start recharging.
(d) As soon as PHCN/NEPA is restored, the changeover unit changes over to PHCN/NEPA and stops your Generator, saving fuel, while your Inverter batteries continue to recharge.
7. You can turn off the feature ('AUTO MODE') that automatically starts your Gen on power outage and put the unit on 'USER MODE' (also known as 'Manual Mode') so that you as the user could start your Gen only when you need it running.
8. You can choose to ALLOW or DISALLOW PHCN/NEPA supply (especially in low voltage situations) through the available front left switch on the unit which serves as a Public Mains Power Isolator switch.
